Stayed for a 6 weeks in Feb/Mar, 2013. Great location in Mesa - central - close to shopping, sports venues, golf, etc. Among an older crowd, we seemed a little out of place. Suggest a revamping of social activities to accommodate us Gen X'ers as we are rapidly becoming the next group of snowbirds.

Pool and social areas are great, need to clean up sites a bit as there were stray wires all over the place, But generally well-maintained.

Room Tip: Try to stay east of the pool area - less traffic and noise.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort is one of many RV resorts in the phoenix (mesa, az) area and quite frankly, like so many of them, a dime a dozen, large (over 1800 spaces), uninviting, boringly repetitive and dull. Predominately, my guess would be this is resort with over 1400 park models with the rest for RV'ers. The pads are mostly gravel for RV's with concrete patio. There is a small tree at the front of each lot which I guess is their attempt to provide some greenery but really they shouldn't have bothered with because they look so Charlie Brown-like. No privacy landscaping between and behind was anywhere to be found.

It's too bad the operators of these resorts don't understand that us snowbirds that vacation there during the winter are willing to pay a little extra for greenspace around and through their resorts. If I could have found this I would have checked out right away and gone elsewhere.

For those that want/need internet connectivity will need to think about staying here. They say they have internet availability but only those sites that are located around the office/clubhouse have access. Otherwise, Tengonet is available for purchase but the reception with them is poor and if you are lucky to get on with so much traffic from so many others wanting to use the service during peak times, well, you might as not even have it. It's dial-up deja vu.

It would be so nice to have a resort like Outdoor Resort, Palm Springs or Las Vegas Motorcoach, Las Vegas or Emerald Desert Resort, Indio in the Phoenix area. I don't know of any luxury resorts in Phoenix. Is there one?

As a whole, the property is a very average property that failed to wow me. While everything is there that you need it just doesn't give me any of the warm and fuzzies.

Ok, so we really didn't want to spend part of July in Mesa Arizona in a motorhome with a malfunctioning air conditioner, but that's what happened. We stayed at Mesa Spirit, and while there we had to have our air conditioner replaced. The management and entire staff were so kind and accommodating we felt we were among good friends. Honestly, we've never met so many nice people in one place! It just doesn't happen. Even after our unit was fixed, they continued to check on our well-being. The park is clean and beautiful and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. We especially enjoyed the pool and the library. Thank you Mesa Spirit for your extraordinary hospitality.

Mesa Spirit is a park in transition, many of the older Park Models are being replaced, spaces are being enlarged to accommodate larger units or for those that just have a lot of toys. The staff is also changing, the new GM is great to work with and wants to see the park improve. They have great amenities and the activities are non-stop. As I read through the older reviews it was interesting to note that just about every complaint has been rectified. While you can't please everyone, they will sure give it their best shot.

Outside of the park you will find excellent eateries, shopping, sporting events, and sightseeing just to name a few things to do in the area. No matter what your age or activity you like you will find people with similar interests in Mesa Spirit.

After deciding to buy a Park Model, my wife and I considered a few different options and resorts. After reviewing a number of Park Models and Resorts we chose a very nice Park Model in Mesa Spirit. Our decision to buy in Mesa Spirit was influenced by the overall tidiness of the resort as well as the amenities and the staff being very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Another important factor in our decision to purchase in Mesa Spirit was the manner in which John Collins handled the purchase, which he made very simple and pleasant. Not only did he come through on everything that he committed to, he also continued to offer his support after the purchase was complete by helping us get in-touch with the people and companies needed to get completely set up and settled in. He also continues to keep an eye on our place when we are not there and contacts us if needed. We were just down for a short stay in November 2012 and were impressed with the ongoing efforts to ensure the resort is continually being updated and maintained. All-in-all we made the right decision in choosing to buy in Mesa Spirit and highly recommend this resort. Can’t wait for our next visit.

I have lived in this park for over 7yrs. & whoever wrote there is no place to walk & shop should open their eyes. We have K-Mart & Big Lots, connected right to the park! Duh! How much closer do you want it, & yes I can see why they wouldn't want 1,200 Beach towels hanging all over the place, The pools are clean, they even took the Trees down because flowers where getting into the Pools & replace them with Cactus, They have state of the art Exercise Rooms, Great Pool Tables, & have put lots of money into remoldling this Resort. Sure there are complainers & you will get that in any park, We are now under new mangement, & some have been let go, so the place is improving! I live right across from the Pool & it was vacumn & cleaned everyday! When the girls at the front desk where unfriendly guess what? they got fired. So don't believe everything you read, They are improving this park & it is located in the best place in Mesa! We bought a place here without even seeing our place because of the brochures that Joan had mailed to me, plus Jim is one of the best guys who helps run this place, they don't come any better than him, the new Activity Director & her husband are the sweetest outgoing & caring people you would ever want to me. this is a great park, only some like to complain, but all & all you can't beat this place. I had a friend who moved into another park & guess what, she moved right back too Mesa Spirit within 6 months. People have lived here for years & love it. It is a Great Place to live!!

We first came to Mesa Spirit in August of 2004 and met Mr. Jim Beach the general manager. We were looking to winter on a more permanent basis in the valley having had numerous years travelling in our coach all over north america. We quickly began looking at the inventory of trailers for sale and found that Mesa Spirit had all the amenities and services and quality that one would expect to find in a five star RV resort. After a few days of looking at units we decided on one and were thrilled to live in L110 for six years every winter.

In 2010 the park had begun introducing larger spaces called Ranchita sites which allowed for large coaches and park model units with large arizona rooms and still gave us parking to spare and outside patio living which is very important to us as western Canadian people. The new salesperson made us a deal which was impossible to resist and as they say the rest is history. in 2011 we upgraded yet one more time to a brand new 2012 park home with Arizona room and an unbelievable space in the park. Home is home for us in Canada but this second home is equally important in our live as we have so many wonderful friends and we just love it here.

We are pool players and are very active in the activities in the park, so many its impossible to list them all. For example pickle ball, tennis courts, six pools and hot tubs, social hours, horse shoes , bocce ball, cards, mahjong and the list goes on.

The resort is 1800 spaces over 90 acres in five separate units each one with a unique layout and vast array of people to meet and enjoy spending time with.

Staff and management are very friendly some recent changes in the activity office and front end are all positive and we anticipate yet another season of pure bliss.

With any luck we hope to meet you if your reading this and looking for an awesome place to winter. Please look us up and check this park out.

Best Regards,

Ross and Judy Reed
