Stayed 5 nights on a house hunting trip to relocate to the east valley area. I'm a Club Carlson member. Great hotel and would definitely stay again.
Staff was all great
Room (King) was large, nice work desk, comfortable bed, sufficient bathroom
Location is great, right on the 60 and near tons of great restaurants like PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, On The Border, El Pollo Loco, etc.
Price was good
Breakfast variation was just average. Always oatmeal, waffles, bacon, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, cereal; rotated eggs (hard as a rock) or French Toast
Parking is bad. The restaurants in the area seem to overflow into the parking lot. We had to park in back often and walk around to the front of the hotel to get in as our door keys never once worked in the exterior side or back doors
The desk chair was rock hard. I worked from the room as often as I could, sometimes for HOURS at a time, and my poor bum HURTS from that dang chair.
Cookie rotation in the lobby was almost always chocolate macadamia or chocolate chip; only 1 day out of the 6 we were there did they have a sugar cookie or peanut butter cookie.
Overall, though, the hotel definitely served it's purpose and would definitely stay again if I needed to in this area.More
