This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place and I was happy with just about everything. The rooms are large, the bed comfortable and everything in the room worked well. I guess if you've been to one of the Hyatt Place properties I guess you've been to them all. That being said, the predictability factor can make a hotel like this a good choice. You know what to expect. My only minor issue is that the free morning breakfast was exactly the same each day. It was fine on day one, but by day four a bit more variety would have been nice. I would definitely stay at this or any other Hyatt Place in the future if the need should arise.

I have found that the Hyatt Place hotel is generally a can't miss option when traveling, and this location proved that out. The staff was very friendly, the check in was efficient, the rooms were clean, and despite a number of sports teams on premise, the place was quiet. For a business traveler this hotel checks off a lot of features. What's also nice about this hotel is the proximity of restaurants, bars and shops. Literally, they are right behind the hotel, including a movie theater.

I would happily stay here again if traveling to Mesa.

Stayed here for one night on a stopover in Phoenix. Was pleasantly surprised. Desk staff was very courteous and friendly. Entire hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is just OK (even by complimentary breakfast standards), but again the staff there was great. Good value.

My son and I stayed at the Hotel while visiting family in Chandler. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They were also good size. The Staff was friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was a half step above continental. I would recomend it for a business stay but not as a resort.

We stayed one night at this hotel and I have to say that the decor reminds me of something you'd find in The Playboy Mansion. It's stylish, but it just seemed very "bachelor pad", especially with the huge flatscreen TV with all the video and audio inputs, the large sectional "pit" couch, and the do not disturb door hanger that has "Zzzz" on the one side and "Busy" on the other. Busy? Doing what, exactly?

The hotel itself was comfortable and clean, and it's right next to a nice open mall called "The Riverview". Unfortunately, the mall seems to be lacking in tenants, but there was a cute country-themed place to eat, and the whole thing is anchored by a Bass Pro Shops, which it enjoyable to walk though if nothing else.

The continental breakfast in the morning was fine. They offer omelets and other made to order breakfast foods, but they are at additional cost. The eating area is very small, and the day we were there, very crowded. It was not enjoyable to have to fight through people to get my food.

The room was clean and in great shape. The toilet and shower are in one room, while the sink and vanity are out in the main area. The bed was comfortable, too, with nice linens. Since we only stayed one night, I can't comment on housekeeping.

This was a nice hotel, even with the whole "Playboy Mansion/Bachelor Pad" vibe. I'm assuming that the demographic Hyatt is courting here is the male business traveler. My husband, who travels frequently for his line of work, really enjoys the Hyatt Place Hotels, so apparently Hyatt is meeting their goals with these hotels.

I would not mind staying at this hotel again. The surrounding area seemed to be reasonably upscale, and the hotel itself reflected that.

Room Tip: This hotel has an actual putting green for those who enjoy that sort of thing.

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Maui and stayed at the Ka'anapali Westin Maui Hotel/Resort. For 1/3 of the money we received a much nicer room, cleaner and more well kept surroundings on the whole at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Mesa than what we experienced at the Westin Maui. This was our second stay the week after Christmas while visiting family in the area. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall area with a Bass Pro Shop that doubles as an entertainment zone in its own right. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast every morning that helps save additional money (although you might want to bring a little protein as it is pretty carb heavy). The rooms are very nicely appointed and large. We have a 9 mo old that stayed with us and even with the crib in the room we had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Great space, great value and we'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Top floor seemed to be great.

The staff is excellent and multi-skilled, so you always have help at hand. Hot breakfast was a great start to my days in Mesa. It is a great place for those who have business in Phoenix/Mesa and do not drive in the US. The hotel is a short walking distance from cinema halls, shopping center, restaurants and the famous Bass Pro Shop. The courtesy van will drop you at any reasonable place. The complimentary drink at the bar was another plus for this hotel where drinks were not limited to wine and beer.

Room Tip: You may ask for the pool facing rooms.
