“We love Mesa Regal RV Park”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This was our first year at Mesa Regal and we love it. People are so friendly. Staff is always available to chat and welcome your ideas. There are so many activities that if you are bored It is your own fault. Grocery stores are close by. There is kinds of shopping close and good restaurants as well. Need a haircut? There's a wonderful salon right at Mesa Regal. Fun fun parties by the pool, happy hour every day from 3-5 with live bands. What's not to like? We'll be back next year for sure.

We researched a lot of RV resorts in Arizona for our first planned winter away from the snow and cold. We finally decided on Mesa Regal and boy or boy were we pleased. We stayed from December 1st, 2013 to March 30th 2014 and we were really pleased. The Resort has 2200 plus sites, many of which were 'park models'. The things to do for free in the park are much too numerous to list here. Everything from tennis, pickleball, to music lessons, and quilt making.
There are two swimming pools (85 degrees), two deep very warm wading, soaking pools and two hot tubs. Free entertainment from 3 to 5 during Happy Hour in the Cactus Ranch Grill.
The whole park is spotless and clean. We loved it so much, we have put our deposit down for next year.
If you get bored in Mesa Regal, then it is your own dang fault. A lot of West Coast Canadians here.

Room Tip: Ask for a site near the East-end Office to be close to pools and entertainment.

Worst WiFi we have ever experienced in any RV park or campground. People at the front desk will say it's fine and works throughout the park but it's not true. We have asked many long term residents and they all say the same thing - the WiFi sucks big time. Administration will say that if you come to the lobby it will work. True - but only if you came after 10:00 pm at night. The problem is that you can usually sign onto one of the hot spots in the park, but they provide such a small band width that it won't even load a simple email. Very frustrating when you have family and friends that you want to stay in contact with. Bottom line - be careful booking a Cal Am resort if you want WiFi. They cheap out big time when providing WiFi services. If they are all like Mesa Regal and you want decent WiFi, look for another resort.

We came to this park in 2009 with friends after staying in another park the winter before. The spaces were smaller but the neighborhood made up for that. We have now been in the same site for 3 going on 4 years. The entertainment, activities, are great, the park itself is very well maintained, they are always working on something. Bar and grill by the pool is a nice feature, the food and drinks are a reasonable price and good eating. Managers Manny and Gloria are always available to chat with and staff do thier best to make you happy. We hope to keep coming back to our winter home for many years.

MLB Spring Training. 7 games in 7 days. We selected Mesa Regal after a recommendation after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. Don't know what a previous reviewer meant by "seedy" - it's anything but. Very cute, well maintained, very friendly residents, most of them snowbirds, many from Canada. It was better than expected. We will be back next spring!

Having never been to an RV park before I didn't know what to expect; nice surprise!
Clean and large facility in suburban Phoenix with LOTS of activities and even headliner entertainment.

BBQ pool parties had good food; again there are tons of things to do - very good activity staff who were helpful and friendly. Rosemary and all the staff were very nice.

Mesa Regal is an old RV park, needs updating, and feels "seedy." The park has over 2,000+ sites (park homes and trailer sites), and the facilities are insufficient for the amount of people. Our trailer site was a very small gravel patch, with a little concrete patio and a small grapefruit tree. The trailers and homes are intermingled and there is no privacy. The tennis and pickle ball courts are unavailable because of overuse, and classes are already booked if you arrive in January like we did. The "public bathrooms" are not maintained over the weekends, and are filthy. Staff is rude; particularly if you have a complaint, or need help. In addition, the afternoon music by the main pool is very loud and can be heard throughout the park. The WiFi "hotspots" offered are not reliable, so plan to use the computer lab for emails, etc. Mesa Regal has softballs teams, but no field for practice or play. So all teams have to go elsewhere to play. Entertainers during our stay were all B grade, "has beens" or unknowns. We observed trailers of all ages, condition, and sizes parked at Mesa Regal contrary to their own stipulations. Be advised that the streets are narrow and maneuvering large trailers or motorhomes is very difficult. At $565 per month for our site, utilities ($75/mo), cable tv ($37/mo), and the fact that we were unable to utililize many of the parks amenities because of overcrowding, we will not be returning to Mesa Regal. There are many newer RV parks in Mesa with better facilities, softball fields, and fewer people.
