We were recently in Iguazu at the tailend of a 3 week Argentina vacation. We were having trouble deciding where to stay when we came upon the Trip Adviser reviews of this charming B & B and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We normally stay at full-service hotels so we were a bit concerned that The Secret Garden might not meet all of our needs. As soon as we saw the calm tropical oasis that the owner, John, has created on this small side street right near town we knew we would enjoy our stay. The place is simple but immaculate and what really makes a stay here is the warm but unobtrusive welcome John shows his guests. He gave us perfect advice about how to spend our 2 1/2 days and the extra touches, such as meeting us at the airport and giving us a quick tour of the town, were greatly appreciated. Having just come from the Four Seasons in Buenos Aires it is a big compliment to John to say that this B & B did not let us down. And his wireless internet is faster than we had at the Four Seasons and it's included in the rate.

A refeshing change from the tourist hotels in the area. We stayed at the Secret Garden B&B and it added hugely to the enjoyment of our short trip to Iguazu.

John, the host picked us up at the airport and took for us for an intial quick tour to get us oriented. After our first visit to the falls that afternoon, John went beyond on the call of duty and took a group of guests across the border to Brazil for a great meal. His knowledge of the area gave another dimension to our visit.

The bed and breakfast is also an oasis of calm and our room was spacious and comfortable - he is the perfect host.

We are on a flying around the world trip so could only afford to spend two days in Iguazu. We were fairly clueless when we arrived but any worry was soon laid to rest when John (the owner) advised us on how to plan our time. Perfect planning!! We went the Argentinian side on both days and still managed to fit in a trip to Brazil. The B&B itself was spotless, with a mini jungle creation in the garden and we watched hummingbirds feed as when drank our evening beers.

The Secret Garden B&B is an uncommon hidden treasure in the small town near Iguazu falls in Argentina. From the welcome capirinia (Brazils answer to the mojito) upon our arrival, to arranging for a driver to help us make the most of our short weekend, John really made our mini-vacation into something to remember. Walking from the terrace, where you will be served delicious toast topped with the unique jams (like ginger-pear) that John makes himself for breakfast, you enter a tangle of lush green vines, banana trees, and flowering plants that take you though your own personal rainforest to the secluded rooms that seem totally detached from any street noise. It was a completely relaxing experience. For the low price and amazing service and one-of-a-kind set up of this hidden B&B, you just can't miss.
