“A great hostel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

I've stayed here twice, the staff are very helpful, the swimming pool is great, it's located between the town and the Waterfalls. Clean, reasonably priced and plenty to keep you busy. I had a private room and was more than happy to pay a bit extra for the privacy.

As many reviewers mentioned, this hostel has a really nice pool and bar area.

We had a private room with our own bathroom. The room was clean and AC worked great.

Since it is in the jungle, there were a few bugs in the room but nothing crazy.

More like a resort than a hostel. Huge pool and grounds outside. Good clean dorms with AC. It's a bit tedious to pay a deposit for sheets and towels, but at least they give a really good rate if you pay in dollars. Wifi is a bit temperamental, as are the computers for guest use. Kitchen for guest use, or buy basic food from the bar. Overall a good place, located outside of town but on the bus route to the falls.

This large HI hostel is the best HI hostel we have stayed in yet. Advertised as having the largest swimming pool in Iguazu it certainly has that, alongside a nice garden and balcony area to chill out and soak up the sun.

The dorm rooms are a decent sized with comfortable beds and good lockers. We stayed in a six bed dorm with ensuite bathroom and air conditioning, which is vital give the heat in city.

A bit of a way out of the town, the hostel is right by a bus stop with buses stopping regularly to take you into the city or to the falls, both sides (brazil and argentine) which is really useful.

Breakfast is nice with a decent selection of options but the bar menu and drinks selection is limited and over priced (as well as Not being very nice).

All in all a decent hostel but overpriced, with out of date information (the bar promised a happy hour every day which was no longer in effect). Staff are friendly but more interested in entertaining themselves then their guests.

Myself and a friend stayed here during our visit to Iguazu Falls. Now first off, i have stayed at many hostels before, but there are certainly plenty of world travelers who have stayed at MANY more hostels than myself. That being said, this was one of the best ones i have stayed at, anywhere. As many people state, the suprising thing is that it seems like a Resort; rare in the world of hostels. And my buddy and i had a blast here.

We had one of the private rooms. It seems from many of the reviews, that perhaps the shared rooms were not the best. We thought our private room was more than adequate and clean. Had plenty of space and had no complaints.

The breakfasts were nothing fancy. It certainly would've been nicer to have more choice on food selection and better quality, but it was sufficient.

Location was great. Not too far from the Falls, and close enough that we could take a quick cab ride to explore the town.

We felt the staff, while seemingly not enthusiastic or extremely outgoing, was friendly and courteous. They could improve their efficiency a bit at the front desk.

The common areas and amenities (for lack of better term), with the Pool, Tiki bar, Ping Pong tables, Pool tables, computers available for use, and lounge area were all great. The best part of all is that the outside areas around the pool and inside area with the pool table/etc. really bring people together and create a social atmosphere. The PEOPLE we met was by far the best thing that this hostel brought out. We met people from all over and had an amazing time partying, socializing, and talking about TRAVEL! Conclusion: If you set proper expecations, and don't expect a Ritz Carlton like some people giving reviews here appear to expect, you'll love this place!

we have been backpacking round South America for 2 months, and this remains our stand out hostel.

we had a double room with a/c, private bathroom, the room was spotless & had a lovely view over the garden for 220 pesos a night (with HI card) - the second cheapest place we've stayed, and we have had some seriously shoddy accommodation. this hostel is a total bargain.

breakfasts were great - with the option of pimping it to include eggs / fresh juice for a small charge.

the staff were all fab, but a special shout out must go to pepito & his shaky hand gin & tonics!

we opted for the BBQ one night which was great value & included a huge array of salad.

it has a resort like swimming pool with loungers & beautiful landscaped gardens.

picking up a taxi at the rank opposite the hostel to go to iguaza costs the same per person as the bus & takes about 20 mins.

the bus into town is frequent, cheap & takes about 10 mins.

hostel staff happy to arrange brazil iguaza trips or crossing border into brazil via taxi - highly recommend, hassle free & reasonably priced.

if you intend to visit the falls, you must stay here, we are still talking about it!

I agree with the fact that this looks great on arrival but the pool had a layer of grime around the edge and the bathroom we had for our 4 bed dorm was the worst I have ever stayed in. Plus it was 35 degrees and the air con didn't work. Breakfast was stingy and used loads of take away plastic in order that they don't wash up. Lazy and unenvironmental! Try somewhere else first

Room Tip: Dont go for the four bed dorms in the attached house like looking things!
