“Friendly Staff, Lovely Location”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

Lilian's is a quiet, clean hotel with a nice jungle setting located close to the bus station and restaurants. We thought the staff were excellent: attentive and available. They arranged our airport transfer and even offered us to stay in the room an extra hour after check out. The room was large with big windows and an outdoor porch facing the courtyard. Breakfast was very simple.

Room Tip: The upstairs deluxe rooms have a balcony. We found the mattress to be really bouncy, so it inhibited...

This is an hotel close to the bus terminal but in a silent area. The rooms are clean and have all you need for a short stay. Most of them have a balcony where you can sit and relax. Breakfast is basic (coffee/milk/tea and bread) but more than enough.

This hotel combines great location, clean and comfortable rooms and good and welcoming sevice. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night last december and enjoyed our stay.
The staff is really nice and helpful, the rooms are comfy and of-course air conditioned (AC is an absolute must in tropical weather). It is located really close to the bus terminal from which you take the bus to the falls and also near a 24/7 little supermarket which you will visit since eating in the national park is ridiculously expensive. There are also a few nearby restaurants.
very recommended:)

When you fly to Iguazu you can take a bus from the airport that costs 75 pesos both ways and it will take you to your chosen hotel. Hotel Lilian is located in a quiet part of Iguazu, a 3 minute walk from the Hummingbird Reserve and really close to the bus station and the centre. It is quiet and comfortable. The rooms are of decent size - a double bed, TV, wardrobe, air-conditioning and a bathroom. Everything is very clean and towels are changed every day. Breakfast is served between 7 am and 10 am and consists of jams, bread and a beverage of your choice. The staff are very nice and helpful with enough English so you can communicate. We were unlucky as there was a storm prior to our arrival and the wi-fi router was broken. We had no internet during our stay but it got fixed before we left. There are many wi-fi spots in town anyway. You can have your laundry done for 40 pesos. The hotel accepts cash only. Overall, a place I would return to and recommend to others.

We got the bus to Iguazu from Buenos Aires so it was really nice to just be able to walk the 2 or 3 streets over to get to the hotel.Given our sole purpose for being here was to see the Falls (both from Brazil and Argentina) and we were geting buses to see both, location was perfect!

A very welcoming reception with freindly staff. The central courtyard is beautiful and we had a room downstairs so sat out in the courtyard in the evenings before going out.

The room was clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was clean and very modern.

Breakfast was included in the rate and consisted of cofee, tea or hot cholotae and then a basket of breads and croissants on the table with jams. Perfect!

We stayed for three (not consecutive) nights at this small hotel in Puerto Iguazu during our travels in the region. It is very conveniently located if you are travelling using buses as it is only 2 blocks away from the bus terminal and is located on a quiet residential street. It has an airy feel to it and the rooms are off a central courtyard which is kept very clean and the garden is well-looked after. We had a standard twin room which was smallish but spotlesslessly clean. The furnishings and furniture were a bit dated however. The bathroom had a wetroom style shower which worked fine. Being in a residential area we had a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast was bread with jams or cheese and coffee/tea and juice which was just adequate. The staff were quiet and generally reserved but were quite friendly and helpful whenever we wanted anything. I did feel that the staff kept a close eye on the comings and goings of the hotel and consequently I felt far happier about leaving valuables in the room here compared with other hotels that I stayed in. Though the hotel is on a quiet residential street there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within 5 minutes walking distance away. It's a good place if you are looking for a clean, safe place to stay without too many frills.

Room Tip: The superior rooms are on the second floor and have their own balcony

We stayed a couple of nights at Hotel Lilian to see the falls at Iguazu before traveling on to Paraguay. We also stayed there another night on our way back to Rio.

The hotel was very convenient for the bus station, though located in a quiet, residential street a couple of blocks away from 'downtown'. We found that there was a good selection of restaurants within less than ten minutes walking.

The staff at the desk were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are ranged around a shady courtyard with flowering shrubs growing at its centre.

Our room was spotlessly clean, smelt fresh and was cool. The furnishings and decoration was slightly faded but that made no difference to our enjoyment. We had twin beds with plenty of room to keep our ruck-sacks around without over crowding the space. The bathroom was small, with a wet-room style shower. However, it was easily big enough and a squeegee had been provided so we could easily dry out the bathroom after each time we showered.

Breakfast was in the breakfast room, which formed part of the large, sunny reception space. Breakfast itself was a bit basic but perfectly adequate: coffee and tea cups were replenished as often as we needed. Plenty of bread was placed on the table and we were each given a plate with cheese and cold meat. Plenty of jam, soft cheese and dulce de leche were offered in small, individual cartons.

If you enjoy smart hotels with carpeted hallways and over atentive staff then this is not the place for you. If though, you enjoy travelling from place to place whilst on holiday and need a safe, clean and reasonably priced hotel to stop off at for a few days then this you could do a lot worse.
