My 11-year-old son and I took a 2 hour night jungle tour with Ale and we really enjoyed it. It was a private tour and Ale picked us up at the Sheraton and brought us back to his shop in Puerto Iguzau we we started the ride. The bikes were in great shape and we found the riding to be easy and enjoyable. the trek goes through the back roads of Puerto Iguazu and though your'e never far from civilization, it really felt off the beaten path. Ale is very knowledgable and he expertly pointed out the many birds, insects, frogs, etc we heard and saw along the way. My son loved his bird calling! After our ride, Ale give us a quick tour around Puerto Iguzau in his car, which was a bonus! We were staying in Iguazu for two nights so this was a great way to see the area and be outdoors and have some fun! We really enjoyed meeting Ale. He is passionate about his work and we felt very looked-after all along the way. I highly recommend!

“Fantastic biking in Iguazu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012

Iguazu Bike Tours put together a fanfastic bike tour - 3 countries in one day. This was soooooo much fun and what a unique way of exploring the area. We started the tour at Port de Iguazu biking to the ferry dock, from there we took a ferry (15 mins) to Paraguay. After biking through the countryside we arrived in Ciudad del Este, which is a border town highly frequented by Brazilians and Argentians wanting to do some serious shopping. The city is full of outdoor markets, not just fruits and veggies but also clothing, sporting goods and everything else you can think of. We crossed the border into Brazil from there and biked to Foz do Iguazu before heading back over the bridge into Argentina where we finished our bike tour with a lunch at a wonderful local lunch place. It was a mind opening experience... The bikes are great and Alejandro is such a great guide, it made this bike tour a fantastic experience. Note: If you are American make sure you have all necessary visas

“oooh, ahhhh, wow!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

I was interested in this tour when I saw it on trip advisor initially for two reasons: 1, to be outdoors and doing something active, 2, to see the jungle by moonlight.

I was super dooper impressed by the end (so was my husband who is not such a fan of bike riding) because of so many reasons: Alejandro was such a great tour guide. He was full of energy and really bursting to get out into the jungle to see what critters we could find. He spoke great english, was very knowledgable about the various species he located in the dark and was very encouraging and positive towards the slower rider. There is a maximum of 5 on this tour so it felt very private and well guided.

The suspension mountain bikes were high quality with very good gears, brakes and lights and easily catered for my 6.5ft husband. You don't need to be an experienced cyclist or fit to do this tour.

There is both dirt track and sealed road and some up and down hills which were absolutely brilliant to zoom down in the moonlight. We saw a few different species of birds, fireflies and various types of frogs at the lagoon. Remember that this is true nature, so you won't be guaranteed to see specific types of animals.

In combination with his animal species handbook, Alejandro has us intrigued by each fact and detail about what we heard and saw. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

“Great trek through the Jungle on bike!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

Always wanting to support cycle and ecotourism I thought Iguazú would be the perfect place to hit the trails on Bici, I was right. I contacted Ale, an amazing tour guide and he was quick to respond with information of the tours available. Me and a friend chose to take 'The Iguazú Challenge' a 5 hour paseo of the Iguazú National Park on great Trek mountain bikes.

Ale is a great guide, very knowledgable of the flora and fauna in Iguazú jungle. We started the trek by drinking yerba mate, a great way to awaken the senses before a good workout in the early morning hours. Ale seemingly knows all there is to know about the Iguazú area and even works as guide for the park itself, and you have to ask Ale to make some bird calls- very entertaining. Ale pointed out to us many of the plant and animal life present, which included monkeys, kuatis, nutrias, and abundant bird watching. The bike trek was strenuous but very rewarding and the Trek mountain bikes held up amazingly in the ups and downs on the trail.

We passed through 45 km's of Iguazú where you could see the Garganta del Diablo from the peaceful waters above while still hearing the powerful waters crashing below, and crossed through the park ending up in an indigenous village far removed from the touristy parts of Puerto Iguazú.

The tour was great and definitely made my experience in Iguazú even more unforgettable. I hope to some day return and take the full moon night jungle tour on bike, what an experience that would be! Gracias Ale for a great tour.

“Great Tour Guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

I took the late evening bike ride with Alejandro in late July 2012 and absolutely enjoyed it. Like most tour experiences, the guide really makes the difference and this was no exception. Alejandro was very personable and he spoke decent english which was a big plus.

There is nothing earth shattering about the bike ride itself. If you are looking to see wild animals running around in a jungle and exotic species, you might get lucky to come across something spectacular but that's an exaggerated claim. It's not guaranteed

On the other hand, if you are looking for a pleasant healthy activity to engage in for a couple of hours while in Iguazu that's not overly expensive, I'll definitely recommend.
