A bunch of us was looking for food on a Saturday afternoon in Iguazu's town. Nothing seemed to be opened but this restaurant which had a cute green cow inside.
The owner was very chatty and started speaking to our group in Spanish. Luckily our group consistent of many Spanish speakers so all was well. Even though we took forever to come to a decision, he was patient with us.
The free appetizer of bread came with two very good sauces--one with tomatos and the other with something a little spicy.
He suggested asado to split between all of us. The meat came out great. The fatty parts oozed sweet juices and the meat were chewy.
He also calculated the bill in US dollar (the Blue dollar exchange rate too!). The bill came out to be about US$9 per person, amazing price.
Thanks for the great meal.

Stopped by this restaurant today on our way back from a bike ride, the place was empty and the owner kindly stored our bikes in the kitchen,we were a little reserved at first as there seemed to be only one or two plates avaliable from the menu....we ordered the prawns( gambas al ajillo) and were assured by the owner that they would be great, they were and we were not disapointed.the only meat avaliable was steak( bife de chorizo) which was a little over cooked for my liking but the flavour was good....i would recomend this to anyone as the food was of a good standard and the owner/waiter/tourist guide was very helpful to us.....thankyou juan

This restaurant have many characteristic of the Slow Food objectives. There are no waiters, the food is fresh and daily cooked, the owner act as host and waiter.

The food is good indeed, but it is not the best restaurant in Puerto Iguazu. In my opinion the AQVA is better.

The price is ok, same as other restaurants in the city.

Please remember, this is a place to enjoy the meal without hurry!

Dear Sir, thank you for your opinion and for your time, of course that their opinion has to be reflected, however if the 89% thinks differently to their opinion also applies .. Doubtless my colleagues have excellent gastronomic proposal and we are pleased that you are have found to their liking. This restaurant is family run and their times do not exceed 15/18 minutes needed to bring a dish or day really cut the grill to the table, lowering the time we are talking of a free dining. Best regards and thanks for visiting.

Like many others, we traveled to La Vaca Enamorada based on the TripAdvisor reviews. The restaurant delivered! The place was empty, but that did not dissuade us. The food was the freshest we had on our trip to visit the falls, and is perhaps daily from the market. We also ate at Aqva, which was very good, but double the price. I highly recommend Juan Alberto, he is kind and gracious, and generous with his time and explanations.

The place could use an interior decorator and different lighting perhaps, but the food was fresh and delicious. I lived in Rome, Italy for a year, and the tiramisu here was up there with the best I've ever had. Fantastic!
