“Made in Argentina”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Sometimes when you get to think about it, what we are looking for in a restaurant is not only good food, good service and good prices. Sometimes it is about experiences. You can have good things pretty much everywhere: fine and average sensations. By the time goes by, you notice that food is not enough, nor politeness. You need social interaction, you want new flavours. Or maybe, you want to be comfortable enough to hang out with friends. But friday night I was in La Misión just because I wanted to have a good meal in a good restaurant and we were satisfied in every way you could imagine.
First of all, I was welcome by the entrance and this gentleman (I prefer not to write any names because they all were delightful) scorted us to our table. We chose a table far away from the show because we wanted to have a good talk. Then, after wishing us a great night, somebody came with some warm bread, butter and a Easy Martini (grapefruit soda, martini bianco and a lemon twist). We asked for something local, and they served as some spiced melted cheese with something that looks like an omelette, but it was made from yuca flour and parmesan cheese. I chose a tenderloin steak as a main course, and one of my friend´s got the Three Scent Chicken, that was made with basil, ginger and garlic... both dishes were great. Meanwhile we realized that Fausto (singer) was singing some great hits and we stopped ourselves just for eating and enjoying the food. So, when I recall it, we got this pauses where we would talk about many things, got a great service in every moment and we enjoyed just eating with soundtrack of a great show. For the end, we asked for some panqueque with ice cream: totally worth it.
I have to be honest: maybe we get better experiences because of the people you choose in order to share those sensations, but talking about all the responsability from La Mision Restaurant... it was just great.
If you get to Puerto Iguazú, make a reservation. You can go even if you are not staying at the hotel.

“The slowest service in my life !”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Hi,

We just came back from this restaurant. Well i have to say that it's the slowest service i never faced in my life.
We had to wait around 30min before someone came to us (after that i asked 2 times at the bar) for just taking the order. Then around 1h45 for the plate to come. It's really crazy and unprofessional for this kind of restaurant who pretends to be good.
I have to say that the diner room was only half full so it's not the excuse.
Except this thing, the meal was good, not the best i eaten in Argentina, but not the worst also.
Unfortunately for them the service is really a key thing inside a restaurant, and having the feeling to be forgotten by the staff is one of the worst thing who can happen for a customer inside a restaurant. Especially after a long day.

“Excellent food and service”
Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

A really good restaurant in the Amerian Hotel near the 3 frontiers. We took a taxi from Sheraton there and we were not disappointed. Excellent service from Luis. The food has a really nice selection of the local fish and appetizers. The price was also very reasonable.

“BEST RESTAURANT IN IGUAZU!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Amazing food (some nights they have buffet only, or buffet and a la carte, or just a la carte...call to confirm). Went here for lunch and dinner during our stay. Quite far out the way if you are not staying in town, but was a 100 meter walk for us as we stayed at hotel next door. The Amerian hotel is beautiful and nice to dine in. Our waiter, Luis, was amazing and very professional. Extensive menu and wine list. They offered us complimentary champagne at the end of our dinner to thank us. Try the Mushroom and Chicken risotto - best I have ever had.

“Excellent Service and Delicious”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

This was a great restaurant. Prices compare to the US, but it tasted better. We loved our server, Gustavo. He was very entertaining and made us laugh and have a good time. He was also very helpful in choosing a good meal The Surubi, a local fish, was amazing!!! In fact we loved it so much that we ate it two days in a row.
