We went to this restaurant at christmas evening and I decided to eat a grilled chicken. After we waited endless to be served, the chicken came half rare - after two times complaining it still wasn't well done and I decided just to give up the complains, because the waiters didn't excuse and were not interested in serve a good food!

I like to eat at La Vitrina, nice meats, nice place, but the service is slow, it could be much better with more waiters...

Went here for dinner when in Puerto Iguazu with my girlfriend backpacking. We had a really lovely meal.

We were just after a 19 hour bus journey and were starving so we had dinner at like 5pm. There were only two other people there. Service was excellent. The waiter was very friendly and spoke perfect English.

I had ribs and my girlfriend had the fillet steak. Both were cooked beautifully. We had a mixed salad and beers with it and the bill was 180 pesos.

We stayed at the Sheraton because of its easy access to the falls and the beautiful scenery. Since we didn't want to have an American -style dinner, we took a taxi into town (definitely worth the extra money - the driver picks you up when you are finished. Have the restaurant call him). Our driver recommended Restaurante La Vitrina, and was so glad he did! It was a lovely evening, so we sat outside, where we had a full view of the grilling techniques employed by the asado master. He was in constant motion, moving the white-hot coals in one area to the huge grill, and tending to his butchering and grilling tasks. We shared the Bife de Chorizo and grilled vegetables -- so delicious and flavorful!
The night before, we also had dinner in town, but at a huge place with live music, where there was a steady stream of tour groups seated at very long tables. The music was fun, but the service, environment and food seemed so forced compared to the authenticity of Restaurante La Vitrina.
