Owner description: This wonder of nature permits the observation of one of the most unique landscapes in the World; constituted by the upper Iguazu River and the Subtropical Forest, which frame the incredible Devil's Throat balcony. Three ring-shaped balconies permit a special view of the colossal “throat”, the culmination of the journey: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters / 492 feet long, and 80 meters / 262 feet high. Here the water falls with such potency that it creates dense clouds of vapor as it pours into the river below. From here you can experience such wonderful sensations, offering you amazing and unforgettable moments:- Just listening to the roar of the waterfalls - Feeling the vapor of waterfalls- Appreciating the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun - Admiring the contrasts of colors between the green forest and the blue sky, or the white color of the water foam and the red soil. - A separate spectacle is offered by the “vencejos” - birds unique to the Iguazu Falls that swoop down along the falls, as if they wanted to be confused with the curtains of water. This fabulous place is located 2080 m / 1 mile from the Devil's Station. You arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km / 3miles from the Central Station. The Iguazu National Park Waterfalls Area has assorted activities. Along the upper and lower walkways you will be able to admire between 160 and 275 falls, the Devil's Throat being the most impressive one.

“Spectacular - well above average - go !!”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

Although we had high expectations based on comments and praise from family and friends who had visited before, we were startled and amazed at how magnificent is this natural landmark. Although there can be a good bit of waiting on line - not too bad, really - and then walking to get to the really good spots, it's well worth it.

We were additionally lucky to see a young five foot caiman sunning about 25 feet away and a catfish swimming right below the catwalk that had to be about four feet in length, with its buddy of more than three feet. Also several tortoises were sunning out on the rocks, not very close but they do show up clearly in photos - the largest had to be nearly 36 inches long.

Planning note: Because we exited not where we entered, we missed getting photos of some extraordinary large photos (on display outside the souvenir shop) of when the falls were dry, in the '90s (?), and also purchasing a classic Iguazu t-shirt.

“Awesome”

Really speechless when I saw it. It is really beautiful and amazing at the same time. Infrastructure was adequate and we could enjoy it with two small kids without any hassle. A must do it in your life!

“Amazing rock formation and great place to pick up some souvenirs that are truly handmade”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

Interesting rock formation..the drive there can be a bit tricky depending on the weather..skip it if there is a huge downpour as the road washes out. Be sure to fill your gas tank when leaving Salta..no gas stations for hundreds of km...

“Astonishing!!”
Reviewed February 27, 2014 via mobile

The most impressive of the 275 falls!! And where you can really feel the power of nature!!!! On some days splashing goes over the platform and you can be allover wet within seconds! If you get there walking before the train arrives, you will avoid the big crowd..
