Owner description: This wonder of nature permits the observation of one of the most unique landscapes in the World; constituted by the upper Iguazu River and the Subtropical Forest, which frame the incredible Devil's Throat balcony. Three ring-shaped balconies permit a special view of the colossal “throat”, the culmination of the journey: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters / 492 feet long, and 80 meters / 262 feet high. Here the water falls with such potency that it creates dense clouds of vapor as it pours into the river below. From here you can experience such wonderful sensations, offering you amazing and unforgettable moments:- Just listening to the roar of the waterfalls - Feeling the vapor of waterfalls- Appreciating the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun - Admiring the contrasts of colors between the green forest and the blue sky, or the white color of the water foam and the red soil. - A separate spectacle is offered by the “vencejos” - birds unique to the Iguazu Falls that swoop down along the falls, as if they wanted to be confused with the curtains of water. This fabulous place is located 2080 m / 1 mile from the Devil's Station. You arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km / 3miles from the Central Station. The Iguazu National Park Waterfalls Area has assorted activities. Along the upper and lower walkways you will be able to admire between 160 and 275 falls, the Devil's Throat being the most impressive one.

I have to agree with Eleanore Roosevelt. This place is amazing. The first day we spent doing the Garganta del Diablo. and the upper falls. This is where we saw all of the animals. We saw coatie, toucans, monkeys, black and yellow birds, vultures and the great dusky swifts that dive from overhead through the falls to their nests behind the cascade of water.

Before you leave make sure to get your ticket validated to come back the next day for 1/2 price. The second day we did hte Aqua Adventure from the Jungle Tours. This is the longer trip up the rapids to the falls and then 'picture, picture, shower, shower' as they say! We were soaked the entire time as soon as we got to the falls. Then we walked the bottom circuit and you get wet again at each of these!

So we spent 1 day dry with the animals and the 2nd day wet climbing lots of stairs!

There are a lot of restrooms conveniently placed in the park and food and shops. This is a great experience. I would not try to do it all in 1 day. Enjoy the scenery and the animals. Take your time and you will have many memories to last a lifetime.

the Garganta is the cherry on top of the Iguazu park cake! i advise to keep it for the end of the day and walk the other 2 treks before where you'll also see waterfalls, butterflies etc. Besides, towards the end of the day, the sunlight will be best for your pics as the sun will be behind you!

BEST PLACE I'VE EVER SEEN.

I really have no words to describe the Iguazu falls. No pictures, videos, or anything would be enough, this place IS A MUST.

Best way to visit the Iguazu falls:
First get an overview on the Brazilian side. You need max. 2 hours on the Brazilian side.
Go to Argentina the next day and take first the lower trail (with optional boat trip), then the upper trail.
After the upper trail, go to the final point, Gargante del Diablo, saving the best for last.
