My partner and I had booked a private room but when we arrived they had double booked so we had to spend the first night in a dorm. Rooms are clean and adequate. Handy location as town centre and bus stop within walking distance. Staff helpful in recommending nice restaurants. Drinks at the bar a bit pricey.

We came to Argentina and stayed in Buenos Aires. We flew to Puerta Iguazu for 3 days to see Iguazu falls then flew back.
We spent two nights at hostel bambu.
The hostel is only two blocks from the bus terminal which is very convenient. The staff are very knowledgable about Iguazu falls/buses/costs etc and were really nice and took the time to give us lots of advice.
We stayed in a big room with 12 beds (6 bunk beds). The dorms are clean and clean linen and blankets provided. The toilets and bathroom were clean as well.
Breakfast provided and plenty of it!
Secure Lockers with padlocks are provided.

Wifi is good but the signal is only in the lounge and kitchen and isn't strong enough to reach the dorms.
Lots of annoying Mosquitos around so bring insect repellent and ear plugs so you don't get woken up at night!

We have stayed at hostels with sheets that have holes but this was just dirty and thin with holes!

The bin next to the toilet wasn't emptied when we arrived and wasn't emptied for our 3 night stay.

The toilet leaked too.

Other than that the staff where really friendly and helpful and they have a nice outdoor bar and patio area.

Location was ok but there are better located hostels. Breakfast was ordinary as was the kitchen area.

Expensive for what you get. Even bar prices where not cheap! Choose another hostel.

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed our visit. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The price was reasonable, $35 USD for a private double. The provided breakfast was the usual, coffee/tea (good coffee), medialunas, toast, butter, jam, etc. The included Wi-Fi worked very well from the room. The location is a short 2 blocks from the bus station and short walk to the town center. I would recommend it for your visit to Puerto Iguazu.

We stayed in a private room which was a bit pricey but all hostels in Igazau are more expensive than what we've been used to paying. Fernando, the guy at reception was very welcoming and made the effort to remember our names, which gave our stay a personal feel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hostel was very near to the bus station and only a short walk to the town centre.

Stayed here in Oct 2012 for 2 nights in a 4 bed dorm.

The dorm room was a reasonable size but there were no lockers to put your things into. The room was not very clean and could do with a lick of paint. The beds were fine. The bathrooms were poorly maintained with mould in the shower and needed to be cleaned properly.

Breakfast was not great, some tea/coffee, bread and pastries none of which was that tasty.

The hostel is located about 5 minutes walk from the village which is handy and the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful.

I paid 90 pesos a night (could have paid less if dollars were used at 6.50/dollar) for a bed in an empty four-person dorm. I found all four beds clean and free of bed bugs, which others have reported here. (Note to hostel: replacing the wooden bunks and storage spaces with metal bunks and lockers would basically solve your bed bug problem.)

For the price, I felt like it was a fair, but unexceptional value. Bed was comfortable, showers were hot, staff was friendly, breakfast was adequate.

Would have been nice to have some directions in the room about operating the a/c, because it was just hot enough to use it during my trip, but I didn't feel like bugging the staff late at night.

Location is about three blocks downhill from the bus terminal -- quiet and residential.
