Quiet but friendly, scrambled eggs for breakfast, close enough to the centre of town to walk for buses and dinner and things, beee-autiful tropical garden with hummingbirds, yes hummingbirds :-), a fantastic little swimming pool... It's not a party hostel per se but when we were there there was no shortage of fun people to have some beers in the pool with - I have to say I think this would suit nearly anyone, couples, families, lone travellers, of any age. Alejandro was so helpful and friendly - he doesn't really speak english but if you've even a smattering of Spanish he'll go out of his way to sort things for you. We ended up staying a few extra nights and when the time finally came for us to leave he phoned the bus station and found out bus times and changes and all sorts for us without us even asking, he's just that kind of guy, lovely fellow. And he takes such pride in the little paradise he's created too, painting the plastic chairs to liven up the poolside, hanging material from the roof to add a splash of colour.. Lovely place, try it! Oh, but don't try using their letterless computer, just go to an internet cafe to save your sanity!
