“Great jungle located stop during your Iguazu visit!”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

Visited the LOI Suites during a work related stay for Class Adventure Travel in Puerto Iguazu. The setting is great, surrounded by jungle, very exotic! Perfect hotel to come back to after a full day of exploring the Iguazu Falls in the search time rest, nature and time to relax.
I found the design of the hotel just amazing, from the buildings, rooms, terraces to the walking bridges very well done! This is the perfect place for those who are want to stay close to nature and quietness in Puerto Iguazu and don't mind a taxi ride into town for dinner at night.

Room Tip: It's definitely worth it paying a bit more for one of the suites with a balcony!

We sell this hotel for our Iguazu luxury option at my travel agency, CAT Travel, and always receive amazing feedback! The pools and spa give a perfect option to relax at the end of the long hiking adventure through the falls. The pools themselves are absolutely gorgeous! It's simply beautiful swimming around with the jungle as your view. The rooms themselves are all decked out in high end furniture with extra amenities. I particularly like the bathrooms as they provide separate tubs and showers (with the rainfall shower head) so you can choose your way to unwind. If you're staying for only one night, I would suggest you get the the Studio Junior Deck because you have the option of sitting outside and enjoying the jungle views without a larger cost since you won't be there long. If you stay for a few days, definitely spring for the Suite or Villa. The spa on your balcony is just wonderful in the Suite and everything about the Villa is just about as lux as you can get. Also, remember coming in to bring bottled water and some wine if you'd like to have a late night toast. The bar closes before midnight and taxi rides will just take your time away from enjoying the property. The water bottle is just for a precaution. You don't want to get sick on vacation! They do have stations available to refill the bottles, so you won't need to stock up for your whole stay. Also, the found is delicious! There is no reason to go into town for anything. Finally, on a area tip, if you can work your stay around the full moon, there are wonderful night boat tours at the falls that give a whole new way to see Iguazu!

The management here need to read the Tripadvisor comments and take note. The hotel is beautifully designed and clearly has aspirations to emulate the Four Seasons. But the service here (depending of course on who is on duty) can be very poor indeed. Similar to other posts, our luggage sat in reception for an hour after our arrival, beers ordered on room service simply never arrived, we could have sat in the Tiki bar all night without the waitress coming to take a drinks order and so on. This had the effect of making us bad tempered and ordering a taxi into town - by that stage the receptionist was charming and helpful! A hotel of this quality and price has to get it right - for exceptional quality and service go across the border to the Cataratus - wow!

We stayed at the Loi Suites hotel during our visit to the magical Iguazu falls. The hotel is set in the jungle and is stunning. It very much reminded me of beach resorts in Thailand and Vietnam. Walking to the rooms across the rope bridges added to the exotic feel of the hotel and the pools are a great place to relax after a day's excursion. The room was as good as any I have ever stayed in, very well decorated and spacious.

The only negative (which perversely is one of its positives) is the location. It is in the middle of the jungle, which is fine if you have arrived in your hire car, not so great if you haven’t. Getting to and from town is a relatively expensive exercise and if you are not minded to cab into town for dinner, your eating options are the hotel’s restaurant or buffet bar.

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting Iguazu Falls and loved every minute of it. The hotel kindly arranged for the transfer from airport to hotel and it was very efficient taking us through customs i.e. from Brazil into Argentina. We had the pleasure of meeting Fernando who became our resident taxi driver/restaurant adviser (good advice - go to La Rueda) - you do need one to get you about as you are literally in the jungle. But this was not a problem as it was great to relax here after busy days at the waterfalls. The layout and design of the buildings/swimming pool area and terraces are awesome, with wooden suspension bridges connecting the buildings. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was delicious. You can also take a path right down to the riverside. We had a room/suite with a balcony and it was large and comfortable with a great bathroom. Did not want to leave!

Room Tip: Room with a balcony was worth it!

Don't hesitate--book it!

My wife and I stayed here one night while going to Iguazu Falls. The check-in was a bit strange--I had to forward my confirmation email to the hotel to prove my identity. What if I hadn't saved that email or didn't have my phone with me--would they have not let me stay here?

I love how they tried to preserve the jungle as much as possible by even cutting around their AMAZING suspension bridges to have trees poking up through them. Unfortunately, in doing this, it makes the hotel not very handicap-accessible (but is any place in Argentina?).The meal we had at the restaurant in the evening was amazing; my wife had vegetables and I had a steak cooked in Malbec wine. The entire grounds of the hotel were well-kept. We got the cheapest room, and it was very spacious (with a soft king bed) and included both a tub and a shower (separate). The water head in the shower was very nice; the water "rained" down on you from the ceiling.

They recommend you don't drink the water here, so bring a water bottle and fill it up during breakfast and in the fitness area's bottled water tank. Otherwise you'll have to pay about $4 USD for a small bottle of water from your mini bar. Lots of variety in the free included breakfast including breads, pastries, grapefruit and orange juice, fruit, eggs (mine weren't completely warm like they should have been), and sausages.

I left my phone in the restaurant after supper, and came back, and they had saved it for me! I was so worried that someone in the staff or another customer would have stolen it since that's how it goes most of the time in Argentina. Props to the staff for this!

Note - To get to this place, you will travel next to some indigenous people which creeped my us out at first because we were traveling by here at night and my wife and I thought they were "homeless" people. Taxis are quite expensive to/from this place (at least $30 USD) for one ride to/from the airport. If you get a taxi from the airport to Iguazu Falls, you will likely have the same driver in the evening take you back.

Room Tip: Upper rooms are quieter

Not knowing where you will end after the ride you arrive in a great hotel with nice and friendly people ate reception, a very nice hotel, with great rooms, a fantastic infrastructure with a nice pool and terrrace. You are isolated but after a day at the Falls you respect the quiet hotel with good food, a service which is a bit slow, but good quality. We got much more than we expected and will go back whenever in the area.
