We stayed at the Loi Suites for two nights and it is a gorgeous setting right in the rainforest. Rooms are nice as are the bathrooms; very clean, well appointed. The service absolutely everywhere in the hotel is awful starting at the front desk. Long wait just to check in, wrong prices on our rooms booked online through their website, absence of any service by the pool, and long waits in the poolside dining area. Taxis to and from the downtown area are $180 round trip so ridiculously overpriced for the 3-5 miles and $280 to/from the Park. There are NO bargains in this town (although our dinner a La Rueda was marvelous and super reasonable.) Lastly, the pool bar had happy hour specials posted on signs and then when we went up and ordered beer they said there was a mistake - NO happy hour - and took the signs down. Two days in a row of this nonsense.

Room Tip: rooms attached to the main lodge are best b/c the cobblestone walkways are hard to walk on even with...

The location, in the middle of nowhere in the jungle, is absolutely amazing. Rooms are very nice and clean, and the pools are also wonderfull. Too bad the river is not accesible, they have a floating deck, but that was last years news, and now not safe to be opened, maybe later in the season?

As a major downfall there is the staff, it takes 6 bar people more than 10 minutes to serve a bottle of beer and than they manage to bill it wrongly. In the restaurant the staff is as flexible as a wooden board. Bar closing at 23:00 is also not an option, considering you have nowhere to go.

First class proprety situated on the jungle-lined road between Puerto Iguazú and the Iguazú Falls. Good situation within large grounds of tropical vegetation. Peaceful and natural setting for guests.
A taxi from the hotel to Puerto Iguazú is about 20 Usd.

We stayed at Loi Suites for 4 days and I wish we could stay more! The hotel is difficult to find (need more signs after you enter a pavimented street in the middle of the jungle), but after you get there you feel in peace, the property is beautiful and the rooms are stunning, with big beds and baths. The pool area is great and, during the night, it is very beautiful and the breakfast buffet offers lots of options!

Loi Suites is a beautiful property in a sensational natural setting. The pool is awesome. The rooms are very nice, but definitely not five-star standard. We paid extra for a deck, which was a waste of money, as the deck faced upward sloping terrain and had no view. Staff was OK, but not particularly attentive. Be aware, too, that although we contracted the rate in US dollars, they charged us in Brazilian reals for some unexplained reason, since the resort is in Argentina. The property is relatively isolated. They have an in-house taxi service that was very professional and reliable but quite expensive. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Otherwise, the food in the restaurants was average. The other features of the property (river dock and trails) are well below standards. The hotel nickel-and-dimes you on many things, including charging you for using the computers in the lobby. Overall, a very pleasant experience, but not a particularly good value for the price, which is high relative to the other properties available.

Resort goes for the Indonesian minimalistic look that seems to be taking over every "modern hotel" i visit. The swinging bridge is kinda Disney style cool. This is not a place for loud children or party animal adults. This is for people that enjoy or demand being quiet. The pool is stone cold since it is in a wooded forest area. Wifi is free in the lobby only. Television is very basic. The hotel is located far from Iguazu falls and your only transport option will be to use the hotel taxi's (no other option will be possible) at about $45-$50 usa dollars total round trip. The downtown is about $20 dollars one way and the airport is about $30 dollars one way. The hotel is at least 0.5 mile or more from the main road. You will pass several indigenous children, adults, families etc. that live humbly off the land just outside the resort grounds. You will not be walking past the gate once you arrive.
The running water in your room is natural.. Translation of natural= after it rains it will be clay color for a day or more and then it will return to cloudy. The food is good and personal service (bar, dinner, breakfast) in the hotel is basic with limited to no interaction if possible. The front desk people seem to respond as if it were a bother to call a taxi or handle a check-out. No one talks to you or welcomes you at any time or anyplace...seems like employees have been instructed to be extra quiet, invisible and never sharing any kind of expression.. Place is clean, kinda cool and romantic. Good for 1 night or maybe 2 when visiting Iguazu falls with your spouse..Do not forget money, bug spray and water bottle to brush your teeth.. Place is pricey.
