“A little paradise”
Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 5 nights and were welcomed with a glass of champagne. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, giving us advice about the area and booking excursions.
Although it is a 15min walk out of town the bus to the falls stops on the main road, just 1 minute from the hotel, and they also provide and excellent airport pickup service.
The pool and outdoor areas are magical, with trees and hammocks. The restaurant, although a bit pricey, is worth trying as the food is delicious and very well presented.
The only let down was that the double bed was 2 singles pushed together, which was not very comfy.

Even though the hotel is a little out of town, it isn't really a problem. It takes 15 minutes to walk into the centre of town and even at night this is very easy and safe. Hosts and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, though very small (Bamboo room). We had one of the best meals in all of Argentina at the restaurant; food was fantastic. (Note however the it is a little strange to eat such a wonderful meal, with the care and presentation of a very upmarket restaurant in an out of the way, almost empty hotel. We were the only ones eating there the night we dined in.)

We were quite impressed with the layout of the hotel, very easy to walk about and go about our daily routine. We stayed in the "Macaia", a very open open room with lots of natural lighting. I only wish the furniture was a bit more current, however it does encourage the "homey" feeling. Other than that, this was a great place to stay. My only suggestion to the owners is to update their site, the images and layout really don't do it justice.

Very pretty setting among trees, nice pool and spa. The restaurant is tops, although a tad expensive. However, good big breakfasts included in the price ... although if you want fruit you have to ask for it. About 10-15 mins easy walk to town, and shorter walk the other way to the Three Nations Monument and the Bocamora restaurant with their sweeping views of the Parana and Iguazu Rivers. Wifi good, but lighting and storage in the room not great. The staff, who all seemed to be English-speaking, were friendly and helpful.

After two years staying at the Sheraton (for the convenience of being inside the National Park for birdwatching), I wanted somewhere more personal and less expensive. I found the layout of the rooms gave me privacy when I wanted it, but as they are all on the ground floor and dotted around a beautiful walled garden I could keep my door open and maintain contact with my surroundings. The rooms are well appointed, with a comfortable sofa to relax on and linen changed daily, and well heated on the one cold night during my stay. Service is unobtrusive but exceptionally friendly, both at reception and in the restaurant, and the taxi driver they use, Julio, was assiduous in making sure that even with my limited Spanish I understood all the options during a trip to the Brazilian side of the Falls. The restaurant is astounding and not expensive considering the quality of the food and compared with the options in this small town. I ate extremely well - two courses and the two amuse-bouche, with three decent glasses of wine - for £35. The hotel is a five minute walk from the bus stop to the Falls and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the town past houses with well-kept gardens. It is in a very safe area, and I had no hesitation in strolling around the dark streets to walk off my dinner before retiring for the night.

This is a little hideaway near the Three Borders monument in a residential area of Puerto Iguazu. We stayed one night in our little casita. Loved the dinner and the friendly parakeet. We had massages in the outdoor location and they were wonderful and a bargain. Very nice pool area.

I stayed 4 nights, the property is unassuming from the outside and a bit far out of town (but downtown Iguazu is nothing to rave about) it takes around 20 mins at a brisk pace. Once you are through the front gate you enter a little tropical paradise......The room was lovely, they are individually designed and spread across the property so good privacy. Room was clean and tastefully done, bed perfect and good bathroom. There is a small but lovely fresh water pool and a hot tub, both are nice for post waterfall sightseeing but also make booking an extra day to lounge well worth it. The food served by the Italian chef (and husband of the owner) is, in a word, awesome and must be sampled. I only went out in town one night as they don't serve food on Mondays. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
