Bohemia Hotel Boutique

Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed November 17, 2010

I stayed three nights at the Bohemia with a group of friends and was very pleased. From the beginning, the staff at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us with requests, from recommending restaurants and making reservations to organizing excursions out of town. They were very warm and friendly and the recommendations and excursions they organized were uniformly excellent. The facilities themself are somewhat basic: the rooms and bathrooms are clean but simple. There is a small backyard with tables to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine, which we did, and next to it is a pool (although it does not appear to be ready for use). Breakfast is simple but tasty: bread and pastries, ham and cheese, yogurt, coffee, tea and oj, . On our last day there, the owners baked a fresh apple cake which was delicious.

I would certainly recommend the hotel for those who do not want to pay the rates at hte Park Hyatt or somewhere similar. The service is excellent and warm, the location is great and the facilities are simple but clean.

This beautiful place in the centre of Mendoza I like the most in Argentina. This business of family Abue creates very warm and hospitable spirit for traveller. I've been to there 3 days this August and remember it with gratitude. Quiet place, very good food and wine, very interesting people and peaceful spirit.

From this hotel I started to Aconcagua, and, for instance, the staff can easily find a guide for you.

My best regards to director Alberto, to incredible chef Emir and to all the staff. Hope to visit you again. From this place begins the road to clouds and skies, and - who knows - may be to Heavens!

This hotel is the best value of our month long stay in Argentina so far. For the price that we paid, we were more than happy with the room and hotel. The common areas are probably the best in terms of decor. The bedrooms are well sized with a very good bed. Okay, so the bathroom was out-dated and the hot water had a tendency to begin to run out after two showers, but you can live with this small inconvenience - especially when the level of service and the price is taken into account. We had some documents which we needed to get scanned urgently and sent home and Melissa and Ariel could not have been more gracious in helping us. They also managed to book me a horse-riding tour late at night, so that I could go out the next day. The area the hotel is in is also very quiet and safe - it's a short walk to downtown, but there are also many bars and casual dining spots close by. Service and value at Bohemia are top notch

Wonderful little find in a great part of Mendoza! Extremely quiet residential neighborhood but only 5-10 minute walk from fantastic restaurants, coffee houses, and shops and only a few blocks from the gorgeous San Martin park.

The hotel is more fun and charming than luxurious, so if you're looking for the Ritz or Grand Hyatt you'd be disappointed. However, if you like hipness and genuine friendliness over silk sheets and a mint on the pillow, this place is for you. In addition, the king size bed we had in Room 5 was a welcome change from the typical European style double beds throughout parts of Chile and Argentina. The whole hotel was clean and extremely comfortable.

Breakfast was pretty typical - a little ham, cheese, and bread. The croissants and coffee were excellent, as well as the characteristic mate. We unfortunately did not dinner at the hotel this time, but will plan to next time.

We speak passable Spanish, but it didn't matter because the staff all spoke excellent English, including the very friendly and awesome owner, who was a chef in NYC and did much of the renovation himself - obviously a work of love. Highly highly recommend!

Bohemia Hotel Boutique is a charming small hotel located in quiet residential neighborhood in Mendoza. My partner and I stayed there for two nights in May, 2010. Our room (#8) had a king size bed and a huge window overlooking the flowery back garden. The bathroom was clean; the shower nearly knocked me over with ample water pressure. The staff was great. After we checked in, the woman at the front desk gave us a map and walked us through directions on how to get to a nearby place for lunch. She then volunteered to reconfirm our alta montana tour with the tour company for next day & proceeded to make a reservation at Azafran for that night. Great service. Bohemia Hotel Boutique is run by an Argentinian guy who grew up in the US (&hence speaks English with no accent). We had a nice conversation with him about real estate in Mendoza. There is a nice place for coffee/drinks called Kato Cafe about 3 blocks away from Bohemia. The free breakfast at Bohemia was great & includes homemade medialunas (croissants). We had an early start on our first morning there, breakfast was set out for us at 6:15am. The hotel has newer and stylish furnishings that are well maintained.

Small hotel in a quiet residential area on the western edge of Mendoza city, near the Parque Metropolitano. Many restuatnts within a few minutes walk. A short, inexpensive cab ride can take you to the more upscale dining and shopping further east, around Plaza Independencia. The hotel appears to have originally been an elegant private home. The wood and tile floors are kept immaculately clean. Front desk staff is helpful. High walls surround small back yard that has small swimming pool and lawn furniture. Buffet breakfast can be eaten in dining room or adjoining open-air patio. Internet terminal in living room available for free public use 24/7.
