“Perfect Place to Stay”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The Bohemia Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Mendoza. I would almost call this place a bed and breakfast if "hotel" wasn't in the name. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the garden and pool area are beautiful. The breakfast menu is above average as it adds a short order menu to the standard buffet fare.

Room Tip: Try to get room number 4. It is by itself around the corner by the pool.

I'm woefully late in writing this review. My wife and I and a couple friends stayed here in August 2012 on the recommendation from an American Airlines pilot that a friend knew. We loved our experience there. It’s not a five star hotel, but it’s also considerably cheaper than the Park Hyatt is and I can’t imagine the service is any better there.

The house is old, but we found it to be kept up nicely and very quaint. We were there in the winter and arrived to a chilly room but the heater warmed it quickly. We had no issues with cleanliness and found the bed to largely be quite comfortable.

What really made this place shine was the wonderful service that Emir gave us. He set up private tours of wineries and a trip out to the mountains that were considerably cheaper than the group tours we could have booked. He gave us great recommendations for lunch and dinner around town and all in all made us feel at home.

We would return there in a heartbeat. Thanks to Emir and his staff for a great stay!

Room Tip: Ask Emir for some of his private label wine.

We stayed at this boutique hotel for 3 nights. The owners are super sweet & speak perfect english. You get really pampered here!
One evening we decided to have Emir's 'bar food' , which was a choice of a steak sandwich or chicken burger. We only had the steak sandwich which was super delicious.
Room nr5 has a balcony facing the street. We really liked it but for some it may be a little noisy.
The location is perfect & restaurants are just a few blocks away.
I would deff recommend this hotel!

Welcome to Bohemia Hotel Boutique in the lovely city of Mendoza, Argentina. If you are seeking a small hotel you know what you want. Bohemia is a hotel that you should definitely consider. When you visit this family run hotel you will immediately know that you have chosen well. Sylvia and her two sons, Alberto and Emir, and of course Walter are all there to make your visit to Mendoza and area most enjoyable and rewarding. They are friendly, courteous, and efficient. If you need something in your room it is there. If you wish for information regarding where to go in the city or its environs, they have the choices, the options and importantly too they will modify things to your needs and desires. If you wish to dine at the hotel evening meals are prepared by Emir, an excellent chef, upon request.

The hotel itself is located in a residential area, of (mostly Sycamore) tree-lined streets, something that you will appreciate especially in the ‘warmer’ months. The streets are clean and quiet. You will feel comfortable here and sleeping is easy. A fifteen minute walk will have you in the main plaza, Independencia. Ten minutes or less and you are in the lovely, pride of Mendoza, Parque General San Martin. Equally handy are restaurants along Avenida Villanueva/Colon. Want to buy some fresh fruit, chocolate, bottled water, beer… the nearby corner stores - tiendas, fruterias - will have it.

The hotel is very well maintained, very clean and comfortable with several common areas, plus a small pool and patio area, great in the summer months during siesta time. The guest rooms (there are 11, I believe) are varied to suit your needs and budget. They are located on two floors and not packed together.

Summary: What makes this hotel come so highly recommended? Yes, the important things: the people and the quality of service that they provide, the hotel itself and its location. When you get there read the guest book. You will see that you are in a place that has been a great spot for so many Argentinean and international travellers before you. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Ask about windows in your room if you are particular about this.

The owners, Sylvia and her son Emir made us feel like family on our visit at Bohemia Hotel Boutique. Their hospitality made our trip. The rooms were well-decorated, spacious and the beds were luxurious! The small hotel had once been Sylvia's family home so it was very cozy. The hotel is conveniently located in the Quinto Barrio walking distance to El Parque and the main plaza downtown near the peatonal shopping street. An assortment of restaurants are just 3 blocks away on Aristides,a popular street for dining, people watching and shopping. I would definitely recommend the Bohemia Boutique Hotel to any one traveling to Mendoza!a

We were welcomed by the owner Emir who was extremely helpful with his advice and directions around town. He also arranged a private tour of the wineries including an extremely delicious 6 course degustation lunch (by 3-star Michelin chef) at Belasco de Baquedano bodega which was reasonably priced with excellent service. Our chauffeur/guide Fernando Azuri was well versed in the local & national history as well as the wine making industry.
The hotel is small and charming, clean rooms, small pool area & courtyards, adequate breakfast buffet and nice bar area and sitting rooms. Emir made us excellent mojitos with home grown mint and lemons.
Overall an excellent place to stay - fantastic customer service and in a lovely part of town, close walking distance to beautiful plazas, San Martin parque, restaurants, cafes and shops. Just loving walking down the numerous tree lined streets soaking up the atmosphere of Mendoza.

Room Tip: Room 2 is on ground floor, king size bed (2 singles joined) with lovely window overlooking courtyard...

Bohemia hotel is a charming small hotel located in a residential neighborhood. It is walking distance to Parque General San Martin (Have a picnic there and if you have extra time, then take the bus to the top of Cerro de la Gloria even if you don't understand Spanish). It is also walking distance to restaurants and ice cream shops.
Our room was clean, shower was great, and price was good. Room was quiet unless someone was talking in the patio since our room was next to the patio. Breakfast was great especially the ham and cheese sandwich and fresh fruit salad.
The customer service was fantastic especially Amir's mom (I'm sorry I forgot her name).
If you need help planning your Mendoza trip, contact Uncorking Argentina. They are very professional and prices are reasonable.
