If you like the “Underground” or “Closed Doors” dining experience, then this is one place you shouldn’t miss out on if you live, or are just visiting Mendoza. The owners, experienced Chef Angelo and his charming wife Claudia were excellent hosts, and they are also bilingual in Spanish and English which is a great plus for those who have a tough time with Spanish .
To get there, you call make the reservation and then and get the address. Not to worry, it’s in a safe neighborhood, and once at the end of the passage the “pasillo” we were pleasantly surprised with a nice welcoming atmosphere that only got better once the starters arrived and the wine started to flow. Chef Angelo has a varied menu using the best available products depending upon the season, and he manages to add just a touch of Mendoza to his dishes to make a memorable meal. Obviously being in Mendoza, their wine pairing is done superbly with specially selected local wines for each of the courses. All in all, I was a very good overall dining and wining experience, and will definitely be returning.
