Spent a morning at the Cerro de la Gloria. This immense heroic monument honors San Martin and the Battle/ war of the Andes. Markers in english provide some background on the history- we found that eavesdropping on the tour guides from the hop on/off bus gave us more information. There were restrooms, gift shops, and a snack bar -cafe at the monument . The view was nice from the top , you could see the snow covered peaks of the Andes. Overall a nice experience.

We arrived in Mendoza on a late afternoon flight on a Sunday, so we had limited options! We had a taxi take us to the bottom of the walk to the monument. Once at the top, we had a nice outlook to the mountains, and an incredible monument to examine. A 360 degree monument with fine detail, history, and emotion. Fun to watch the kids climb the rocky bits around the base, and nice to see the local families with their snacks and picnics. A nice evening. PS watch for very sneaky theives in Peatonal Sarmiento. Leave nothing unattended at your cafe table.

Such an amazing park in the middle of a busy city! You can spend all day here if the weather is good, loads to see if you want to or it's great just sitting and watching the world go by..

This is a great place to end your afternoon. The park is great to sit down and have a Mate overlooking the city. At the park you can buy hot water for the mate and some snacks. Parking was really great as well, but maybe during peak seasons might be a concern.

Be advised the way up and down is made of many MANY curves given you are on a hill, people might get nauseous, even though it is a pretty ride. My girlfriend who can get really car sick, was distracted with the view and it did not affect her.
