I use to go to NH Cordillera in my business trips. Is a well located hotel in the downtown of the city. Fitness center and swimming pool are really poor. Good breakfass and kindly staff.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in Nov. 2010. Purpose of our trip was to visit a few wineries and do some white water rafting. The hotel tends to cater to business travelers and seemed to host several meetings during our stay. That being said, there is a pool and gym and the hotel staff treated us well and were friendly and helpful.

Our room on the 1st floor smelled like sulfur (rotten eggs) so we asked to switch and the hotel staff accommodated us right away. We weren't sure if the smell was due to the unique drainage system in Mendoza or a plumbing issue, but our second room was much better. The bathroom was okay, bed was good, and breakfast was decent (standard pastries, yogurt, juices). You could open the windows and get some fresh air, but the hotel is on a busy corner so there is noise. WiFi was always available.

Despite the "average" room characteristics (bed took up pretty much the entire room), the location was fantastic! Situated on one of the 4 main squares in Mendoza you are no more than a few blocks from a ton of great restaurants, bars, cafes. There is laundry nearby too. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room, then this hotel is perfect and a great value for its location.

Argentina has loads of new stylish boutique hotels to offer for good prices..so does Mendoza. We were really disappointed with the travel agency that recommended this place. The website pictures look great but that's just the new lobby area! service is average,so is breakfast, the roomsare not clean at all!beds are old and dirty..I have the habit of checking my pillow and there were stainsof all sorts beneath the cover. The tapistry came of the walls, the tv was absolute crap and the floor was wagely swept..mold areas in the bathroom, old and torn towels and very noisy.

Great basis for walking exploration of Mendoza City. Close to local & tourist shopping areas, within easy walking of Plaza Independencia, Sarmiento Pedestrian Street with it's myriad of restaurant choices as well as hiking and climbing shops. Local shopping streets of Las Heras as well as San Martin are convenient. The rooms were good sized, the beds were excellent only drawback was the strange shower door arrangement, but you can deal with that easy enough!! The front desk staff were excellent: we arrived early in the A.M. and they released a room immediately, giving us a place for our luggage and clean up, pleasant and unexpected perk, as well as they gave us a late check-out w/o add'l charge, we simply asked! There are two internet computers in the lobby, printing our return tickets was somewhat of a hassle as you have to email your print job to the hotel front desk and they print it for you. They gave us an excellent recommendation for a nice dining venue, La Marchigiana located a short 3 block walk!! The hotel dining room staff were attentive and pleasant, doing their best for we who speak broken Spanish. Even the room maid was very attentive and helpful. The spa staff were excellent, with services priced very attractively. I'd recommend this hotel to any friends and family looking for lodging in Mendoza, it's a can't miss reasonable choice.

When I travel, I seem to stay at NH hotels (Sweden, Spain, Germany) and now Argentina. The hotel is clean, nice and modern. The staff pretty helpful. Their English is pretty good and they are happy to help. We did a tour to the vineyards (60 pesos no meal) and mountains (120 pesos not meal) and it was easy to make the reservations and payments to the hotel. We didn't have the energy or time to make arrangements that would have probably have been cheaper.

Location is good but be careful when walking at night-- no issues for the 4 nights that we were there but not much foot traffic like you find until the early morning in Buenos Aires. Breakfast is good, decent with the ubiquitous dulce de leche present. Internet connection on the two computers is SLOW!!!!!!! It was so annoying but since we didn't travel with laptops, we had to succumb to the sloooooness of those computers. Functional but not great.
I would stay there again but BEWARE the mountain trips, people. Roads to the mountains are twisty (and scary) AND they shut off the ac as the bus wind up the road. If you are claustrophobic-- beware. Also, those trips last forever (9-12 hrs). Too long for this city chick!

Oh and the gym sucks. There is an outdoor pool but what they call a gym is terrible. A treadmill that was broken, a stationary bike and a stairmaster-like thing. But alas...drink more wine--- life is good in Mendoza overall.
Enjoy!

Chau!

I travelled to Mendoza with my Parents, and chose this hotel after finding out that it has very reasonable rates on the Internet. As it turns out we got an even better deal when we arrived. We were staying for 3 nights, changing from a double room to a triple room after the first night when the final member of the party arrived, and we got the triple room for a double room rate. It's worth trying to negociate with them, they seemed very reasonable and open to bartering.

The internet downstairs in the bar was a great help, as it was free and there a a couple of computers, so you didn't end up waiting for others to finish. Very helpful for planning the rest of our trip.

The staff were the highlight of this hotel really, always very polite and accommodating. Assisting us with tour bookings (they found us a knowledgeable private guide to give us a city tour for 200 pesos in air-conditioned car, and for an extra 70 pesos, he took us out to the "Rural Bodega" where the Rutini wines are made). They were also happy to fax booking requests to our tour company in Buenos Aires free of charge.

The rooms were nice - and clean above all else (this being very high up my priority list) It wasn't what i would call a fancy hotel, but it was just perfect for us to use as a base for exploring the area. Breakfast was pretty standard, but they had lovely fresh juices and i particularly liked the media lunas!
