“Reasonably Priced Hiking in the Andes”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Our group of 7 took the mountain hiking trip. We rode in two vehicles up to a retreat where we waited for our guide. We then traveled to the property of a sheep and horse owner who also hosted the meal after the hike. The guide was very accommodating to the hiking limitations of our group and modified the hike to follow a river rather than the usual steep hike up challenging rocky slopes. The scenery was beautiful -- lovely vistas. The sky was turning grey with a pending rain storm. One person in our party suffered from the altitude and the guide handled that very professionally. We returned to the house of the owner of the land in light rain and enjoyed a meal of freshly baked bread along with cheese, pepperoni and some bread baked with cheese, We also had good Argentinian Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, sitting by the fire as it poured with rain outside. On the return drive we stopped to look at guanacos. Everyone in the group enjoyed the hike very much and would recommend it to friends. Good hiking shoes or boots are a must as is rain proof jackets/bags.

“A memorable visit to Mendoza”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

We pre-booked three tours through the Mendoza web-site.From the very beginning I felt we received prompt and personal service even before we arrived in Mendoza. With Juan as our english speaking guide,we enjoyed three memorable days which we will always regard as an exceptional experience. We did the wine tour first, which was well organised and very informative. Our trekking day was slightly marred by poor weather but Juan was very skilled at adapting so added a special tour of Mendoza at the end of the day to compensate. The gaucho day was awesome in every sense of the word!We enjoyed every minute of our three days with Mendoza Andes....it was almost like being taken out by a friend.

“Great wine tour!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Mendoza Andes hosted a perfect tour! We spent the day with Luke, the owner, very personable and knew exactly how much to involve himself in the group. He took us to all of the tour stops but allowed us to have our own experience with the wineries and sort of stayed on the sidelines. But he clearly had a good relationship with the places we visited and was willing to make changes. Part of our group had been to one of the ones he had on his list the day before and we simply asked him to change it and in one phone call we were off to somewhere else!

The car tour was absolutely perfect and so comfortable, especially after a few glasses of wine. We were able to visit an olive oil factory and two wineries for such a reasonable price! Would definitely suggest to anyone.

He also dropped us off at a wine bar in town called Vines which was a great way to finish off the day!

“Service before profit”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Service definitely comes before profit for this agency! One of the fiew that doesn't push you to buy anything. Even if you don't stay in the annexed hostel.

I ended up doing a bike tour in Maipú on my own. On their recommendation! Even though they also sell this type of excursion! Thumbs up and many thanks!!

“One of the Best Days of our Vacation”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

We booked a full day Gaucho tour with Mendoza Andes and it ended up being one of the best days of our trip. The tour itself was very unique, from driving up to the Gaucho's (Daniel) house and meeting his family, to riding on horses through the mountains. It was actually raining the day we arrived, but that may have been better because at the beginning of the trip we couldn't see how high we were on the ledges! By the end of the day though, the weather cleared up and we could see all of the beauty of the Andes. Leo was a great knowledgeable guide with a contagious laugh and made everyone feel at home.
