We were only in Mendoza for two days and decided to use Malbec Symphony for a days wine tasting, a great decision. Ivan our tour guide was really friendly and knowledgable and made the day. We visited three great vineyards, two old vineyards with lots of charm and a modern equivalent with a fantastic restaurant. Truely the way to start a holiday!

Malbec Symphony tour was a great find for us. We drove from Santiago during Easter holidays, though their offices were closed, they personally met us at our place of stay and gave us complete details of the tour. They were the only tour who included harvesting of grapes and wine tour, we will never forget that wonderful experience. I highly recommend their tour

This was a beautiful drive with wonderful memories not to be missed. While the driver was a bit hurried early in the drive, it was understandable given the potential for long delays due to road construction and the customs and immigration procedures. The guide - Mario - was very informative and very outgoing. We are glad to have taken the trip.

We had two day long trips to see wineries in Mendoza. Both were great but a little expensive because we failed to carry US $ with us. The trips would have been excellent value if we had paid in $ but we had to get pesos from the bank and the resulting XR hurt us. Despite this the trips were still good value and extremely enjoyable.
Day 1 we went to Lujan de Cuyo and visited Catena Zapata (magnificent building and scenery) and tasted superb Chardonnay (Anjelica) not sold internationally. Followed this with Pulenta winery where the winery guide was superb and made us feel really welcome. The best hostess of the two days. Lovely Pinot Gris. Finished with a 5 course tasting at Clos de Chacras that was a magical meal and great wines. This sort of day is not to be rushed and we were picked up at 08.30 and dropped back at the hotel by 4pm.

We had met Julian personally and he organised the day really well. He is a nice guy and very organised with the clean van pick up on time and the driver and day guide very proficient and friendly. You feel in very capable hands with Malbec Symphony and I would recommend them without reservation.

Day 2 was to Valle de Uco and was a longer ride. Nearly 90 mins each way but it glides by with discussion with the guide on all things Mendoza and wine and Mike , our German guide, spoke great English and was a thoroughly entertaining and totally knowledgeable guide. I thought he was excellent. We again visited 3 wineries (Atamisque, Salentein, and Andeluna) and although the Salentein was the prettiest in terms of the barrel room etc the actual wine tasting part was the least organised and enjoyable.
The lunch and tasting at Andeluna was exquisite and the scenery breathtaking. Very Friendly.

All in all I would recommend Julien and Malbec Symphony without reservation. Try not to plan a hectic evening on the day of a tasting as you can be quite relaxed at the end of the day and not up to a strenuous evening even if you are young. Take US $ on any trip to Mendoza as the place is predominantly cash economy.

Malbec Symphony Tours is simply the best wine tour agency in the Mendoza region. After much research, we decided to take a chance on the relatively small operation. We were not disappointed!
