“With the taste of Martín Fierro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

Great ambient. Put to resemble the post where "gauchos" used to stop for drink and food in the early times of the argentinean confederation. But not quite, luckily :) It has some contemporary touches with an excellent service. Great meat (they ask you how cooked you like it) and wine chart. The place is not so big so it's better to drop by early. It gets too much crowdy near 10pm and you wont like queauing or ending up sitting by the toilettes

“Good buzz”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Great place to eat, consistently busy and great buzz. The corn empanadas are a must. Good choice of dishes, reasonable prices, very palatable house wine, great atmosphere.

“Great place to start a night on the town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

El Palenque is located along the main street for late night restaurants and bars. Sitting at one of the outside tables, you can watch as the Mendoza night life heats up. The menu is traditional Argentina pub fare. Be sure to get the house wine, it comes in a ceramic pitcher shaped like a penguin!

“Typical Argentine tavern”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

It's great fun to sit outside at this typical Argentine tavern and just watch life pass by. The menu is very standard, but the quality of the food is very good prices considered.

“Good spot on Aristides Villanueva”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

Aristides Villanueva has many outdoor cafes lining its streets but this one always seemed to be busy. The menu featured some interesting regional specialities and I particularly recommend the crepes. Don’t come to this street though for a high end dining experience. The food is okay but the fun lies in the buzz and people watching. Even if you don’t eat here, be sure to walk down the street at night at least once.
