“Good lunch with very good”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

We lunched at this place which was close to our hotel and the main Plaza Independencia, just walking in off the street with no recommendations. We were seated upstairs and had empanadas capresa with tomato, basil and mozzarella as well as empanada criolla with ground beef and onion plus a good chef's salad with lettuce, mushroom, avocado, beets, olives, onion, hard boiled egg, palmitos and corn bread: a huge salad for USD6 and overall good food and value. As others indicated, the service was for us also not lightening fast but not terrible and the initially grumpy waiter eventually cheered up. We would come back to this restaurant again.

“Great food”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

Just happened to drop into this restaurant and loved it. Service was great and so was the food. The waiter knew we didn't speak Spanish and happily provided us with English menus.

“Local people go there”

It's a local customer's place and that's an advantage. A fantastic wine chart and a great menu. Reasonable prices and good staff.

“Bad service and bad food”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

We ordered a salad, two bifes de lomo and one chivito. The salad was normal, the avocado in it was real good but that was it. One of the bife de lomo should be medium-done and the other medium. The two come out medium-rare, and with no special taste, not even that charcoal-parrilla taste. The chivito was just some dried up three day old meat chunks. Really, we did not even touch it. The service was rude and impatient. We speak Portuguese and some words in Spanish and he could not (or not wanted to) understand us, I imagine in English how the service would be...

“Good value for money”
Reviewed April 21, 2014 via mobile

We were expecting it to be a little cheaper to eat in Mendoza but we quickly realised that it wouldn't be easy to find a main for less than ARS $120 in the area. I shared the large anchovie and olive pizza and a bottle of Malbec wine with my wife for around ARS $200. Great atmosphere and the service was OK. The waiter was very friendly. The place gets really busy after 9:00pm.
