This property was a good location for a 2 night stay in Mendoza. The rooms were newly decorated and clean and I received a nice room upgrade as a platinum member. The staff could be a bit better trained as check-in and check-out took forever, as did coordinating a taxi reservation. The platinum lounge isn't as well equipped as most others, but is sufficient.

First impressions- the lobbby was large, tastefully decorated and very comfortably cooled. However it took a good 20 minutes to check in - there was only one person on duty and there was pretty long queue building up. A second lady appeared around 15 minutes later and helped clear the backlog.

Plus points:
1. Service is excellent. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Polite to a fault, many times going out of their way to help.
2. Great concierge. The concierge desk helped make and change reservations, car hires, tours etc. They made good, thoughtful suggestions for restaurants and were happy to call and check ahead for us.
3. Nice rooms. Spacious, well appointed with a view of the mountains. Strong, effective AC and excellent bathroom. Safe and black out blinds provided.
4. Nice pool and spa area.
5. Excellent location- close to amenities and restaurants of central Mendoza.

Negatives:
1. No guest parking spaces
2. Slow bar service
3. No printers in business centre- you need to have the front of house staff print items.

Room Tip: Ask for mountain view on high floor.

This was our third trip to the wine country. On previous trips, we stayed at the Park Hyatt drawn by the name. We were not happy with the hotel. So this time around we chose to stay at the Sheraton. After spending a few days in in to wine lodge, we moved in to the Sheraton. We were so surprised with how nice it is. We heard and read good things, but were not expecting such a nice facility. Had we known, we would have spent the entire time in the Sheraton and just take road trips to the wine country. The gym is first class. The location is equal if not better than the Hyatt. The rooms are better. The gym is better. It is just all around the best in Mendoza. So sorry we had not stayed at the Sheraton on our previous visits.

Very nice rooms with a eager and helpful staff. The room was well appointed, clean, quite and comfortable. The downtown location is near the three primary.plazas, shopping and dining. Ig you interested in trying your luck at the slots table games a casino is right next door.

The Sheraton is a good hotel as a base to serve exploring Mendoza and the nearby wine regions. The Front Desk Staff (Eric) and Operations Manager (Claudio) were absolutely great, very helpful with good suggestions and arrangements for wineries/bodegas, car/driver, as well as good dinner restaurants in Mendoza.

However Club Room food and beverages are not good compared to almost all Starwoods and the service was poor all 3 days we were there. The Laundry service took three follow ups to get all of our clothes (simply 2 items ) back. Additionally one items w was late by an hour and the pants
were six hours late, so don't count on same day service, even for press only.

So the hotel has some growing pains to get up to counterparts in other Starwood properties in Argentina.

Also ask about views, not all Suites face the Andes.
