You couldn't be more central in Cordoba if you tried. Close to all the attractions in the old town, just over the road from a shopping plaza with cinemas, some decent restaurants nearby. We were also fortunate to have a huge corner room with windows facing in two different directions. The room was good, the breakfast was acceptable, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a pool on the roof, bigger than many roof pools. We were there three nights, and if we needed to go back to Cordoba would happily stay there again.

We usually avoid giving bad critics but for once...
This hotel is supposed to be 4.5 stars and one would expect good service from it. Our experience was quite terrible when asking anything from reception. We needed minimum 3 to 4 calls every time and even had some surprinsingly rude answers. Room was not done and it was quite hard to get it done.
The only plus is a good location and a medium price.
We will not return for sure

When we chose to stayovernight at the Amerian en route to Iguazu, we chose it for its central location, its affordability, and comfort. It met our expectations - and more. We arrived at the hotel around 8 in the morning after an overnight bus trip to drop off our luggage. My husband had come down with a cold, and couldn't have been more pleased when the reception staff unexpectedly offered us our room early. When my husband's condition worsened in the afternoon, they assisted by arranging for a doctor to come to our room. One of the reception staff helped by translating, and then personally took me to a pharmacy to get a prescription filled. I am most appreciative of his going this extra mile. That evening when my husband was feeling somewhat better, we walked for dinner to La Nieta 'e la Pancha (delicious salad and pizza) and found ourselves in the wondrous buzzing world of nearby Belgrano Street and the neighbourhood of Guemes with great decor shops and tons of people. While returning to the Armenian, we encountered an artisanal market in progress with simply beautiful goods, enjoyed a choir performance, and then, in Plaza Veliz Sarsfield adjacent to the hotel, locals dancing the tango. A magical Sunday evening in Cordoba!

Convenient for bus station, Plaza San Martin and Nueva Cordoba. Efficient and friendly welcome. Got wonderful, spacious, corner room with tremendous views over Plaza Velez Sarsfield and down Boulevard San Juan to the Sierras. Good Lomito in the bar. Breakfast OK; standard, unchanging Argentine fare. Would love tea making facilities in the room but this seems to be a relaxation of cultural standards too far for most hotels in the country... Sorry the rooftop bar was not open for sundowners; the city from above looks better at night!

The location of this hotel is great. Everything is an easy walk away, including the minibus station (2 blocks). We didn't have the problems with AC that some people have reported, and the room was quite cool while we were there.

The breakfast was the usual Argentine selection of sweet breads, juice, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, juice and coffee, but also had scrambled eggs and bacon.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room overlooking the plaza. Great light through all the windows.
