Like the previous reviewer we walked out of town to the Museum. We too could not beleive the price thinking our Spanish at fault. The price to go into the Jesuit estancia is 10pesos. This is just a rip off. We did not pay. I would be surprised if they got any visitors. 75 pesos was the cost of our cafe lunch which was probably more enjoyable.

My husband and I walked from the centre of town to this slightly out of the way casa in the blazing heat with our 9-month old daughter. We were happy to make this walk because we were really looking forward to visiting the adolescent home of Che Guevara and it was one of the reasons we chose to visit Alta Gracia from Cordoba.

When we entered the house to buy tickets, we were immediately asked where we were from - and mistaking this question for friendliness, promptly replied, "Canada". We were then informed that our tickets would cost 75 pesos. We were in disbelief and asked several times for clarification. 75 pesos?! Why? The staff did not have an answer for us and we told them that we would not be buying tickets. One woman told me that the ticket prices had just been changed by the municipality this month - the cost for Argentines had gone up to 15 pesos from 5 pesos - and that if we wanted to make a complaint that we could write a message in the book. So we did this and also revisited the tourist information booth at the clock tower to make an official complaint with the municipality.

We would have been happy to pay double the Argentine price but 5 times the price seemed to be completely off the international spectrum of reason. This is a small house with photographs inside, not Angkor Wat.
