Superb boat, very comfortable and refreshments provided. Cruised round the main waterways for over an hour although we couldn't go down the smaller ones as the water level was too low. We had plenty of opportunity to see the lovely waterside houses though.

While a visit to Tigre provides a decent respite from the City of Buenos Aires, the delta itself was unremarkable. Similar to deltas and bayous elsewhere but with more development, this area is primarily a vacation destination for Argentines. The area is somewhat unique in that many of the islands are accessible by boat. Consequently the rivers are plied by "mercantile boats" that stock everything from water to propane gas. If you have time, and want to see a different side of the Buenos Aires area, give this a try. Just keep in mind that there are many, many tour boats and lots of tourists. I took the shorter tour. The longer tour uses larger boats that appeared to be air conditioned. The longer tour may be more worthwhile as I believe it includes more time on the main river.

The tigre delta cruise is a poor excuse for a tourist trap. The river is brown due to the sediment, the ship has no air conditioning so you have to sit upstairs for a breeze. the trip shows you houses along the river, but you have no idea what you are looking at because there is no narration. some houses are nice, some look not so nice.the boat ride is about 1 hour, but you retrace your steps fromthe first 30 minutes. it is a 90 minute ride one way to get here, this attraction? should be skipped, its a waste of time, you are better off staying in Beunos aires and seeing the city.
