“Convenient, Average Non-Vegas Casino”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014

Harrah's Ak-Chin, located just south of Maricopa, is your typical "non-Vegas" reservation casino- there is nothing 'bad' about it, just nothing 'wow' either. Really, the best thing about the casino are the employees- everyone is very friendly and welcoming, most will ask how you are doing, etc; so, customer service-wise, they are very close to excellent.

This casino has many of the usual table games (my favorite Pai Gow is not always available). You can find $5 minimums on tables during the week, weekend minimums are usually $10 or more. They have a poker tournament, poker machines and lots of slot machines, so most will be able to find something they like. You can earn points and comps here and use them at Harrah's Las Vegas.

Harrah's Ak-Chin has several restaurants like The Buffet, The Range Steakhouse, Copper Cactus Grill, Dunkin' Donuts- so eating is not a problem. Right next door is the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center (dining, movies, bowling, and laser tag). I have not stayed at the hotel but I know they just added on to the hotel and are constantly updating parts of the casino.

“Fun place to be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

I practically live at this casino, LOL. I love the people, they are all very friendly. There is a buffet, steakhouse and a grill to choose from for food. There is a sit down restaurant in the back open for breakfast and early lunch. After 4pm that restaurant becomes the Diamond Lounge. The Ultra Star Multi-tainment Center is next to the casino, and they have a Bingo Hall in the same parking lot as the casino. There a resort and hotel tower with great service for those that want to spend the night or vacation there. They have a very nice pool with a bar in the pool, cabanas, etc.

“More comps than most”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

Harrah's offers way more comps and giveaways than Wild Horse Pass which is right off 1-10.
We enjoy the grill which has a nice variety and super hamburgers.
The Monday breakfast buffet is very nice with a good selection.
They have a many new machines which always fun.
Enjoy this casino very much.

“Nice Hotel ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

Went on a shopping trip with girlfriends from Tucson and stayed at the casino! Hotel is nice and friend got a good rate-better than the rate I was offered!
Lots to play in the casino and they had a band both nights of our stay! The downside to this is the cocktail servers seemed to work the lounge area and occasionally would get to the tables! Waited forever for a drink.
It is a good distance to Phoenix for shopping but we knew that already. There is a casino closer but they are way to expensive.
Seafood Buffett on the weekends, my friend ate her fill of King Crab legs but the waiting time to sit was forever! Breakfast one day at Dunkin Donuts and the other day at the Agave Restaurant-wonderful meal!
Complex has a movie theater and Bingo as well!

“Nice Stay Nice Pool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

The staff was very nice and welcoming. We stayed in the pool resort room and it was very nice. The bed is comfortable but the pillows were a little too firm. The bathroom was spacious and enjoyed the separate shower and tub. The coffee in the room was bad but they have a dunkin donuts in the casino. There was also a fridge in the room that was good to have. Overall the room was nice and will return.
