“A blast from the past”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

OK, so people either hate it or like it. We felt like we were in an old I Love Lucy episode where they take their cross-country trip. After finding out the prices for hotels in Page, this was a god-send. On the plus side we found it to be very clean. Even the carpets weren't so bad that you felt you had to wear shoes all the time. It did have those old creapy orange/brown shiny bedspreads so common in cheaper motels, but once we took that off and folded it away, it felt much better. The decor is sort of flea market, but that's ok. Like I said, we did find it clean. And, don't forget your shampoo, etc. because all they provide is a very small bar of soap. The adjoining restaurant was likewise a blast from the past, like a lodge/diner. And the sundries/gift shop was a hoot. I could swear that some of the stuff had dust on it like it had been sitting forever. Didn't stop them from having Navajo blankets for $400 a pop though.

Room Tip: From reading the other reviews, it seems that there are different sorts of rooms. We just had a bas...

Okay, the rooms are dated, but they are big. You could park a VW in the one I stayed in. The water is hot. The bed is comfortable. The heater is like a blast furnace, so you need only turn it on for about 2 minutes and the room is nice and toastie. It isn't the Hilton, but it has its own kind of 50's style charm. The owners are cool, once you take a moment to actually talk to them. The trading/post gift shop has some nice last minute items that help if you forgot to pack stuff. As the other reviewers have said, the real draw of this place is the location. You can walk to the Navaho Bridge. Doing it at night is spectacular as the pedestrian bridge gives you a brilliant view of the night sky. We ate at the restaurant twice and both time is was really good. This place is not somewhere you would stay for more than a couple of days, but it is close to where the rafting trips begin for the Colorado river and there is a lot to see right around in the area.

Room Tip: Did not stay in the apartments but I heard they were nicer than the single rooms. My single room was...

We stayed in one of the 2 room suites out back and found the place marginally clean but about 10 years past needing at least a paint job. Give the walls and cabinets some color, make sure there are actually cups and forks in the kitchen and for heavens sake, hire an exterminator!! Found mouse droppings the first day and a dead mouse the second!!!

This place is as close as you can get to Lees Ferry fishing, rafting, and is in an amazing spot, but is totally run down.. It could easily be full every weekend with some TLC.

As accommodation ahead of us on the way to the North Rim was full,so we dropped anchor here for the night. Highlight was walking back down to the pedestrian bridge over the Colarado River and observing 2 Condors roosting on the girders of the road bridge (#76 and #56) As for the room, again it ticked all of our boxes being, comfortable, clean, quiet. The wifi signal was weak in our room, but fine up at reception. The dining room had good pub grub.

We stayed here for just one night during a road trip, and it was lovely. We hired 2 apartments which were huge and clean. We arrived very late and the management packed up and left our key in a trust box which was really nice of them. The breakfast was great too. If you're in the area for whatever reason I'd recommend this place. However I can only vouch for the apartments, didn't see the rest of the rooms as it was too dark!

Not much to choose near Lees Ferry/Marble canyon. I read the reviews and had my expectations set rather low - and they were met right on. Not really dirty - not really clean. Adequate would be an appropriate rating. Motel is old and furnishings, room appointments etc are too.Attached bar/restaurant/store are very good with food/drink to satisfy you.

Yes, I would stay here again as I would love to explore this area much further and it would be a great location to day trip from. and the scenery that you wake up to in the morning is stunning.

Spent one night here. This is an incredible location with amazing views. The rooms are decent and clean. Take this hotel for what it is; a fair rate with average rooms. I came here for the a raft trip and to be outdoors. The breakfast was very good. Did not eat dinner here. It has a very good general store that I was able to buy a few needed items before rafting.
