“Wonderful!”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

I was skeptical that a restaurant located at the heart of the touristy San Telmo plaza would be any good but the food here was simply delicious. The squid ink pasta was devine, as were some of the other dishes that I tasted off my family members' plates. Nice ambiance, good prices, very friendly staff, including a chef that came out to talk to us, and just very fresh and tasty food all-around. I am a sucker for freshly-made pasta, so if you are as well, AM is a safe bet.

“Pretend you are in Italy”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Food, as described by most contributors to the site, is very good. Stick with the Italian fare rather than yet another ojo de bife!!! Charming staff etc. The atmosphere is laidback...as is the whole Dorrego Square (at least on Sundays, when the flea market is in full swing). It´s worth splashing out on a good bottle of wine (US$15 upwards). To secure a seat either go very early or very late...but best get your concierge to reserve.

“A great final meal in BA”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

A last minute decision to skip the ubiquitous steam for a final dinner was richly rewarded with this great little restaurant overlooking La Defensa.

A truly amazing risotto with truffle and porcini followed by an amazing tiramisu.

This is is a gem with great service to boot.

“Worth a visit to San Telmo”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Went for lunch one day and returned for dinner the next day. Homemade pasta is excellent. Steak was good but stick with the pasta, risotto and salads. Wonderful breadsticks. Service a bit slow, but relax and enjoy.

“Excellent Italian food.....One of the best in BA.....Dinner amongst friends..”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

It's been a while since I was here. I'm not in San Telmo as much as I would like. I typically spend most of my time in Recoleta and Palermo but this restaurant is definitely a good excuse to come to San Telmo for a great meal. The location is fantastic in front of Plaza Dorrego.

You have to look out for the address and then walk up the stairs to the restaurant which is upstairs. I love the atmosphere here. Just a classic looking Italian restaurant like something you'd actually see in Italy.

Their menu is quite extensive and plenty to choose from. I treated some of my friends to a dinner as one of them was departing for Europe the next day. They haven't been here before so it was a nice treat for them.

For such great quality pasta and food you'd think it would be more expensive but it's MUCH more affordable vs. more expensive places like Sottovoce which has gotten expensive. I know the prices aren't on their website so you might assume that it's very expensive but prices are quite reasonable. Most of the appetizer dishes were 60 to 90 pesos with only maybe the seafood appetizers going higher. We ordered some Eggplant parmesan dishes with cherry tomatoes which were great and a big jumbo Shrimp appetizer which was also very good.

We all got pastas and all of us LOVED the pasta. Excellent. We got a few desserts as well. The only one I wasn't too crazy about was the pineapple carpaccio but everything else was great.

They had this Opera singer come out and sing some beautiful music during dinner. The staff was all very friendly. In Italian "Amici Miei" means "my friends" and they really do treat you like friends here.

Absolutely a must for anyone wanting great pasta while in Buenos Aires. And they proudly have their TripAdvisor Sticker on their front window downstairs as well as their front door of the restaurant.
