This small hotel is located in the wonderful area of Palermo Soho, close to fantastic restaurants and shopping. It would be easy to miss the heritage-looking wooden door entrance from the street, but once inside, the hotel is a period gem and a calm oasis. There are only 11 rooms and they are each themed around important historical figures. The fixtures in the rooms, library, courtyard and lobby are beautiful.

Complimentary wine and cheese was offered each night, which we took pleasure in before going out to dine. We browsed books in the library to get a background on the area and spent time sipping wine and coffee in the enclosed garden area.

Beds are very comfortable (and turned down nightly with chocolates on the pillow), internet is free and easy to access. Breakfast was generous and the staff generally are welcoming and very helpful. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

We stayed at the Legado Mitico for the first part of our trip in Argentina. It was our favorite hotel (out of 3) over a 10 day trip. The hotel is beautiful, the location is great and most importantly the service was impeccable. The concierge were always helpful in giving us directions, calling a taxi and seemed happy to help share their beautiful country.
Highlights:
-Breakfast was great, be sure to ask for fresh coffee and eggs for the perfect cappuccino.
-Every night they put the most delicious chocolate on the pillows. I liked it so much we went to the store that makes it around the corner from our hotel and bought some as a souvenir.
-The has some of the most beautiful fixtures I've ever seen. See photo attached of the very impressive 1/2 bath (in the lobby).
-The internet was very strong. There was a router in our individual hotel room. Being able to plan the next day on an ipad with reliable internet was very helpful.

It was a great hotel. The only thing we wish we could have done differently is stay there for more time!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on the 7 – 9 March 2014

This luxury boutique hotel was the perfect place to ease us into our first taste of Buenos Aires; our first time to South America in fact.

The hotel is “hidden” in plain sight on one of the busy streets in Palermo Soho, with only a plaque next to a classy looking door to identify it as a hotel. This door is always kept closed and locked, but the front office staff is always there to instantly respond to the bell.

Once you step inside there is an unexpected air of calm about the place, the check-in desk is out of sight to your right, and the view straight ahead is through the long, comfortable library and beyond it through the glass wall to the patio area.

We had arrived on an early flight from the US and didn’t expect our room to be ready, but with luggage for 2, for a four week trip with a very mixed itinerary we had a lot of bags. Not a problem, they were all whisked away and we were told that our room would ready in about an hour and a half. They offered coffee and biscuits (cookies) and served it in the library which also acts as the breakfast room.

All of the staff were helpful and pleasant, and those on the front desk all spoke English. The breakfast was all that we wanted, the selection of breads, cereals, Danish pastries, juices’ and fruit etc. were nice and there is a couple of hot items too. Scrambled eggs and sausage I think, but we didn’t try them. Don’t expect “Full English” breakfast though, save your appetite for the enormous steak dinners to be had all over town.

The room was ready in about an hour, and they had given us an upgrade from superior to one of the three delux rooms, the IDEALIST. This is the only room on the third floor and has a supper bathroom and shower, very comfortable bed and a private little courtyard with chairs and small table. We loved this room. We also learned what a “Scottish Shower” is; that’s how it is described on their room description! Also that Che Guevara is given the euphemism IDEALIST rather than REVOLUTIONARY in case it would offend sensitive souls! We liked him, and the room, no matter what they label it.

The hotel is located in an ideal spot to easily walk to the many shops, restaurants and cafes in the district. We ate at both La Cabrera and Minga and had no trouble other than my wife made a poor choice of shoes one evening for the rather uneven sidewalks.

We encountered none of the tricks by thieves that tourists are frequently warned about, and saw NO panhandlers here in this district or anywhere on our travels in Argentina and Chile for that matter. It is a pleasant change from many US cities!

If and when we return to Buenos Aires, we would unhesitatingly stay here again.

Recently stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Location is superb. Rooms named and not numbered adding identity to each of them. Smiling staff with management always available.
Having a library instead of a standard decorated lobby makes a good ambience.
Will come back for my next visit to Buenos Aires, who knows when ?

We spent 4 night in this hotel, at our arrival in Beunos Aires and before our departure and we appreciated the small, excellent Hotel in an very big an busy city. Every room is arranged specially and with an historical background. It's a quiet place to rest with a wonderful library that's worth staing a whole day at home and just get familiar with the history of Argentina.

Room Tip: If you can, select a room that goes to the small patio, it will be more quiet at night.

We recently stayed in this wonderful boutique hotel during our time in Buenos Aires. This hotel is located in a great district near restaurants, trendy shopping and bars. The hotel room was very spacious, clean and had big doors that opened to let natural air and sunlight in. We enjoyed sitting downstairs in the lounge while having a drink and admiring the decor. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family. I hope that I get to visit again.

Stayed two nights at the Legano Mitico in Palermo Soho. Perfect location to check out all the shops and boutiques in Palermo. My husband and I stayed in Ricoletta back in December but decided on this trip to stay in Palermo. The Legano rooms, reception area and library are the perfect combination. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Buenos Aires.
