One of the top steakhouses in the city, Piegari is located in the same block as a series of other high quality restaurants, including a sister Piegari specializing in pasta. Excellent food and atmosphere.

Situated in the lovely Recova, an assemblage of restaurants under 9 de Julio (which sounds awful but is perfectly, quiet, clean and quaint), the traditional Piegari’s opened a second location on the corner of Posadas and Cerrito, kitty corner to the original. It was perfect in every way in that the service was attentive (more so than maybe other restaurants), the food was amazing Argentine classics (and get the picanha-a cut only found in Brazil, and apparently Piegari’s!, and the prices expensive but reasonable for a high class meal. An experience not to be missed if you want to eat like a local having a special evening out.

We had dinner in this restaurant last Wednesday night. We ate beef, asado de tira, it was not very good and not very tender at all. The coffee arrived before the dessert and it took more than 30 minutes for the dessert to finally arrive. Service is not very friendly. Really bad relation cost service, too expensive for what they actually offer. I would not go back.

We were recommended this restaurant by our guide and we were not disappointed.
On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of champagne which is a lovely touch. A lovely varied menu of both steak and fish and the service was so good.
The good thing about this restaurant is that it does open early.

It is very good restaurant to eat meat. Prices are quite steep, compared to other restaurants in BA. So is good for a business lunch with a customer, but as a local if I were to go with friend there are several other restaurants with a much better price/quality relationship. I paid US$ 100 for a meat dish each, a not too expensive malbec wine (although a good one), and 2 coffees.
One of the best parts is that you can park right on the site (the parking is not cheap either)
