“More ambiance than good pizza”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Even a lot of local people eat there, I found it ok but nothing more. The posters and pictures are kind of typical but, unfortunately, nothing more. Service was awful. Maybe because we speak spanish.

“delicious pizza, but a little bit over-priced when you think about it”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

The pizza really was good, that is - when you like your pizza with a looot of cheese and more of american style. (I love that) and you get a huge pizza. we shared one of the big ones shared it by four and weren't left hungry.
however, a big pizza mozarella costs 100 Pesos (28th of april 2013). Which, when you think about it is, 15 €. That's a lot, although I can't really compare it with so many other places in Buenos AIres, yet.
Moreover, while the place has character, but it really isn't a nice restaurant or anything, more of a grill with a lot of people .. the service isn't especially great either ..

“My favorite Buenos Aires pizza.”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

This is definitely not a tourist place and that's one of the reasons I like it. In a city full of good pizza, it's my favorite.

“The Pizza Place in BA - Note That There's Waiter Service!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

We spoke to a few locals and they all said that El Cuartito is the place to go for pizza in Buenos Aires. Being from New York, we were looking forward to trying a local pizza, and must say that while different, the pizza at El Cuartito was pretty delicious. Others have spoken about the pizza itself so I won't go into detail, although I will note that the pizza is pretty filling, as this would be our last meal for quite some time (we ended up not eating for hours during our horrible experience with Conexionbaires.com [NEVER USED THEM]), and the fullness lasted.

Some advise for those of you who do not speak great Spanish (the staff doesn't speak great English) - when you go in, there is a dining room on the right. If you sit down there is waiter service. If you just go up to the counter (like this guy did) and order, they will give you food, but then if you go and sit in the waiter service area things get very confusing.

“If you're in for the authentic experience, this is it”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The allure of this place is not necessarily so much the food but the ambience. The pizza is standard pizza for Argentina - thick, loads of cheese, and the options for toppings are also very standard. Once nice thing is that they use pitted olives rather than the unpitted kind. The place is teaming with people, and there is a separate area for those who choose to eat at the bar standing up. They also have empanadas as appetizers. We wanted to try the Tucumanas but they were out so we tried the spicy beef and roquefort with ham kinds and we were not disappointed. Although if you're also going to order pizza best to share one empanada between two because they are big and very filling. The walls are covered with sports and celebrity memorabilia, you can spend the whole time there just checking them out.
