Good, piquant food, very welcome in a city which is not known for its spices

I am not sure the food is authentic South East Asian but the set lunch menu is a tasty and good value option that offers a nice change from parrilla, pizzas and empanadas that after a few days in Argentina become so boring. It is not very spicy but it is no way bland, they offer you chillies on the side if you ask for them.
The special is about 50 pesos and is good value in a city were prices have gone up tremendously in the last few years do to the highest inflation rates in the region.
If you want to order a la carte be prepared to pay much more.
This place has been around for over 13 years and I hope it stays around.

I like very much this restaurant. Food is really good!
The place is nice, but too small and noisy if you are planning to spend dinner talking with friends.
It is expensive.

We have eaten here a couple of times for lunch and have really enjoyed their lunch specials. Food has always been fresh and good. This is most authentic asian food I have eaten in Buenos Aires.

I've lived here for 6 years and am continually disappointed by the asian food offered in this city (Thai food especially.) Sudestada offers the best curry I've had- it changes on a daily basis but has all the intricate layers of spice that any curry must have- you can taste the citrus, the ginger, the coconut milk, the cardamom...And it's spicy! (if you ask them, make sure they don't tone it down.) Which anyone who has spent time here knows, is not always easy to find. They have a great lemongrass/ginger lemonade, serve Palau water and have a pretty good beer/wine menu for an asian restaurant. Also great desserts- very unique. I hate going out for asian food and then you see the dessert menu has flan and vanilla ice cream as options....make an effort. Go here, you wont regret it. Very small, fills up fast!
