“Great value for money”
Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is nothing fancy but if you want to eat A LOT , the price of 150 pesos per person covering all you can eat of salads and barbecue, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of sparkling water, 2 deserts, is perfect for you.

The meat is lovely but my favourite was the Vacio, followed by Picania and Bife de Chorizo.

Overall was a good experience, good food, friendly staff. I recommend for a meal with family but not on a romantic date.

“Follow the Cow, and eat most of it”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

This was recommended to me before I went to Buenos Aires by a friend who has lived in Latin America . Siga La Vaca (Follow the Cow) is a chain of buffet style parillas (barbecues). Basically, you pay one price, depending on the time of day and (I think) day of the week for everything, including a first beer. It is a good way of sampling the traditional Argentine parilla without paying the prices of the more up market establishments. You go up to the huge grill area, point at what you want, and they hack you off a chunk. If you want to get more sophisticated, you'll need to speak fairly fluent Spanish. Bear in mind as well that the Argentinians are fond of cuts that Europeans and North Americans may regard as too chewy or fatty, and offal and black pudding. You can be as adventurous as you like, but if you want traditional steak cuts, prepare your vocabulary in advance. A good selection of salads and deserts, again included in the price. Maybe not gourmet cuisine, but popular with the locals as good value for money.

“Food is just ok”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Dont go there expecting great food. The parrilla (barbecue) is just ok, under average comparing with Argentina restaurants. The chorizo meat was a bit hard and unseasoned. The price is ok and include beverage (limited).

“Average food”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

If you're used to Brazilian all you can eat steakhouses you'll find this to be way below par just like we did. It could serve as an introduction to Latin barbecue if, and only if, you're unfamiliar with it. Food is mediocre and service is ok, but very well located in a nice house in the Puerto Madero area. Overall experience was fun.

“ALL KINDS OF MEATS!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

If you're visiting Argentina and want a memorable eating experience head over to one of the slv for a great choice of meat -- ask for their recommendations and hand over a little "donation" -- 5/10 pesos- while asking..... goes a long way!
