“Stylish renovated hotel in a great part of town”
Reviewed October 27, 2010

I stayed at the Moreno twice, before and after a conference at the Sheraton. To say the two are different is an understatement.

The Moreno is all new, hip and stylish and great value for money. It's also ideally located in San Telmo right in the middle of the Sunday markets and a short walk to Florida St for shopping.

The rooms are huge and well furnished, and the service is friendly and unobtrusive.

The hop on, hop off tourist bus is a great way to see the city and picks up close to the hotel, and taxis will also pick up at reception.

The roof top terrace is also a great spot to unwind with a drink at the end of a day's sightseeing. All in all, good value and I would definitely return.

Pretty much what everyone has been saying. Hotel is excellent. BIG rooms, brand new bathrooms, and everything else has a nice 'new' feel to it. It sort of is like a W hotel for not much $.

Only downside is its location. On a sort of grungy street. But...close to everything. So it's a trade off. Don't let grungy put you off, felt totally safe and it's right next door to some sort of govt. police/army office so there's always a cop outside....not that the area is unsafe at all. Whole city seems safe other than having to watch for usual pickpockets or someone grabbing your purse on a run by like other big cities.

Buenos Aires is my favorite destination in South America, I've been there so many times. But every thing get's even better staying in Moreno Hotel. The location is excellent, very few minutes from Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo and Puerto Madero. The room is superb, amazing bed (sometimes I had no will to wake up and walking arround the city), central climatization and great showers. The staff is very helpful; in my last day I asked if I could have a late check out and they placed me in another room without creating any trouble. I strongly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is 2 minutes' walk from plaza de Mayo, so its plus is certainly its position. From there you can easily get a taxi or a bus to visit Buenos Aires. Florida is less than10 minutes'walk.we got a very big room, comfortable and clean. the furniture is modern, the bathroom not very big but cosy (shower only). Breakfast is abundant, but without cooked meat. the reception and staff are very helpful. there is also free wifi and a couple of fast computers to access internet

At first we were a little scared because de reception hall is not very impressive, but then, when we went to the real reception (first floor) we were amazed by the design. The room was huge and very clean, the bed was perfect, nice shower, but the bathroom was very cold. The breakfest was good, but by the trird day we went to a cafe to have some more options. The location is good. Very near the Casa Rosada, Calle Florida and Puerto Madero. For the price, the hotel is a very nice surprise.

I have been 3 times at Moreno. Rooms are outstanding and comfortable, specially the romantic J-loft. Hotel was build in a very old building and it's incredible charming. Great location, near Plaza de Mayo and in the border of San Telmo, a few blocks from a subway station.

We are avid travellers and require a nice standard of hotel. This is a gem in the middle of the city. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and very stylish; brand new bathrooms and refrigerators a definite plus. Loft style rooms with exposed brick and high beams. Its not a cookie cutter hotel, but its boutique hotel at its best! Our first room was near the air conditioning unit for the building and was quite noisy. They moved our room with no problem and this room was even better than the first. The superior rooms are worth the few extra dollars. The staff were really helpful, helping us source a place to get handmade boots and other specifics in the city.
The breakfast is small but nice and simple and served in the elegant dining room. The dinners were quite overpriced tho, there are much cooler and cheaper restaurants in this up and coming chic area that serve some of the best food. The neighborhood seemed sketchy at first, but we realized that just the way it looks, we had no problem walking around at nite as two women, and the later it gets more people come into the streets. On sunday there is an incredible street market that is the hightlight of any trip. There are tango lessons around the corner and the port is a 15 minute walk away. This hotel is situated to take advantage of the best parts of BA at an incredibly affordable price.
