I selected the Tryp based on reviews posted to Tripadvisor and I wasn't disappointed. As other reviewers have commented the hotel is well located, the service excellent (I had a minor issue with a toilet and the issue received from attention from the duty manager down). The breakfast was first class, the rooms are larger than "standard" hotel rooms. Despite its downtown location there was no traffic noise - the major sites of Buenos Aires were within easy walking distance and despite the signs of a city struggling with an economic downturn personal safety wasn't an issue in the evenings. The staff were excellent and very responsive to all matters. There was free wireless internet in the hotel which was a real plus.

From my perspective the hotel delivered on all fronts and was excellent price value,.

Excellent service, very comfortable and quiet rooms, and the best breakfasts on offer.
The restaurant was very good as well. 2 thumbs up.

The Tryp Hotel in Buenos Aires is the perfect location if it's your first time to Buenos Aires. It was close enough to all the sightseeing locations. Because of it's location, it was easily accessible to Puerto Madero, San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo, Obelisk, Buque Bus for Uruguay, Plaza with all the historic buildings, Calle Florida, Ave Correintes. In some cases, some of these locations were within walking distance. At night, we ventured out and even though it was downtown, it was relatively safe...just be aware of your surroundings.

The hotel is incredibly reasonably priced. The service was exceptional. The rooms are nice and clean and the heated floors in the bathroom were great to have. The sheets and pillows may need some enhancing but if you need a nice safe place with exceptional service, this hotel will do. And especially if you are there to explore Buenos Aires, and you will be out of the room most of the time, then this hotel will exceed your expectations.

The restaurant is perfect for breakfast (which is included in the price) which is above what we expected and it was convenient to know that we did not have to find somewhere to eat every morning. The lunch and evening menu is not extensive but if you happen to like what is on the menu then you will be satisfied. The club sandwich and Chivito Uruguayno is exceptional.

The staff was exceptional and it was helpful that some of the staff spoke English. They provided us with every need and request within a timely manner. And it was comforting to see that to access the room floors in the elevators, a room key was needed. And there was always a doorman so security was always there. Therefore, solicitors or non-guests were not able to wander freely in the hotel or that at least someone was aware of their presence.

The downsides are that this hotel does not a gym or pool on the property. You can get a pass to the YMCA which is nearby but expect very little. And if you are looking for the nightlife, it will not be in this location. Some other small dislikes were the mattress was very firm, the sheets and pillows could be improved and more towels in the bathroom.

U can not ask for better!!! we toured around argentina and brazil for 3 weeks and found that TRYP is definitely the best.....as soon as we arrived at the hotel, the bellboy was quick in grabbing our luggages from the taxi and the Diego, who is the manager already aware who we were and check us in less than 5mins...quickest check in ever!!...rooms was big and beds were comfy..most importantly is clean. Showers were awesome too!!....location is central...walking distance from most tourist spot. The only hotel we were in that provides free internet!!!....the staff at TRYP are always going out of their way to help us..with directions, change with money as most places do not take large notes...

This was such a pleasant stay! I cannot say enough about the staff and the front desk. They were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfy and the bathroom had a heated floor (never had that before, it is terrific). Location is excellent for work, but a little spooky on the weekend because that area is business mostly. Definitely would go back.
