My boyfriend and me were 8 nights in buenos aires and booked 4 nights in palermo (hotel craft) and 4 nights here. After the first night here we cancelld the reservation and went back to palermo. The hotel is clean but in a very ugly and dirty neighbourhood, the staff is great and the hotel in the midle of the center. If you have the choice: stay in palermo and take a cheap taxi to visit the few things here!

I visit Buenos Aires 2-3 times per year for work and have tried many different hotels in the downtown area. The TRYP definitely impressed on may latest stay. From the friendly and courteous staff to the clean, well maintained rooms and bathrooms, the hotel gave an immediate sense of comfort and relaxation. For me, the hotel was 100 yards from my office building, so location could not have been better, but generally speaking, it is well situated for shopping on Calle Florida, there is a subway station at the end of the block if you are adventurous, but being downtown, there is no shortage of taxis, particularly during the work week.
Breakfast buffet is well stocked. Hot breakfasts aren't the thing in Argentina but they cater to the US visitors. Unfortunately they don't always hit the mark. Sausages are fine, but their eggs are nasty. They like mix things up on the hot station each day. It's hit or miss. I wasn't a fan of the "spinach wedge" or the odd square shaped egg item with melted cheese on top. That said....I would encourage you to "go native" and stick to the cereal, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses and pastries that they have. You will not be disappointed!
Room service unfortunately was not so well stocked. The menu was limited to just toasted sandwiches and salads. Not too bad for a one-off, but not great if you end up working in your hotel room most evenings. At the same time, there are plenty of restaurants in the area....or an impressive food court in the Gallerias Pacifico shopping mall a few blocks away if you wanted to keep within a budget.
All in all, a great hotel though. Without a doubt better than the alleged 4.5 star Claridge. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a simple, well positioned, clean hotel, with very good service.

On arrival, our request for a late checkout was met with a positive and helpful response.

On departure, a car was arranged at short notice to take us to the airport at a reasonable charge.

Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Good position for those who need be close to town centre.

For short and business stays, it is good value for money.

The hotel have a good localization, it’s pretty close of “Casa Rosada”, very good breakfast and very good service... only concern, they don't have Gym... The price is in the average of the city. I recommend.. probably I'll be there again…

This hotel struck us as a well run business hotel in general. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Reception was staffed by a very pleasant and helpful man. The bellboy was equally nice to deal with. We got an afternoon coffee on the restaurant which took ages to both be served and to pay for. Location was very central and easy to walk to attractions from.

Overall we were pretty happy . However we asked reception how much an airport transfer would be and were told 180. As this was our last day in Argentina we then spent all remaining currency bar 200 ( to allow for a 20 tip). We were then left embarrassed and angered to be told the cost was 210 to allow for toll charges. We ended up giving the driver 10 euro as we didn't have anything else.

This was really unexpected given we had 2 other airport transfers organised by another hotel where the price quoted was the price charged.

I must admit I'd be reluctant to stay in another Melia property as a result.
