This was the first hostel I have ever stayed at so I have waited 2 months before reviewing it so I could make a comparison. It was recommended by someone who had happily stayed there for 5 weeks. It is well located for the centre of town but a little noisy with the windows open, no aircon. 3 shared female showers for the whole place but not a problem. It felt a little scruffy, I did see a bedbug on my sheet one morning, not sure if they tackled the problem but I did see them spray the bed frame in parts but she said it was for mosquitoes!! It was a very friendly hostel, I met some very nice people there. Staff were quite helpful. Breakfast is basic, bread and medialunes (croissants) . On returning to BA I stayed at Florida Suites around the corner which has better facilities, en suite bathrooms, more modern but due to size, a less intimate environment but I preferred it for the cleanliness factor. The staff do not remake the beds so dorms feel messy. Overall an OK place, a so so recommendation especially since I saw a lot worse in Palermo when I was searching for a different location.
