This is an incredible place to get away from it all in BA after full days of shopping, sight-seeing, drinking and eating. The hotel's service is great from the front desk to the spa to the waitstaff and bartenders.

The rooms are clean, simple, modern Scandinavian and are a perfect complement to the rest of the hotel's decor-- the pool and courtyard area were beautiful and relaxing. A real oasis off the beaten path. I can't say enough here. Oh and their breakfasts were the greatest on my entire trip.

Very laid back and not a bit pretentious.

  • Liked — Atmosphere, service, food, drink, pool, courtyard, interior design, etc.
  • Disliked — That it all had to end.

I was lucky enough to spend my last fews days of a month holiday in Argentina at the Home Hotel, and it was a great way to finish!

The location of Home is great if you want to explore the very hip and trendy area of Palermo with its numerous shops, bars and restaurants. Recoleta, Microcentre and the other tourist hotspots are a short (and v cheap) cab ride away.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the barman who made me the most delicious cocktails. After a month of travelling around the country the chance to relax by the beautiful outdoor pool and have a massage in the spa was just what I needed.

The hotel feels small and exclusive and the rooms are very chic and contemporary. The bar/restaurant always had a trendy buzz, even at breakfast!

I would highly recommend Home if you're after a good value boutique hotel in the heart of the coolest part of Buenos Aires.

  • Liked — Chic boutique feel, spa, cocktails!
  • Disliked — That I couldn't spend more time there...

Just returned from Buenos Aires! Steak and red wine at every meal. Home Hotel is very trendy, chic, and clean. The employees are very nice and helpful. It is located in Palermo Hollywood which has many great restaurants and bars. The neighborhood is up and coming -- I would compare it to Bucktown or Wicker Park in Chicago.

Just wanted to add my wife's review.

The hotel is hip, but not to the point where they are unkind or snobby. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to visit BA. The quality of the hotel is very high. The front desk and staff were extremely warm and accommodating to all of our needs and requests, no matter how big or small. They routinely made us dinner reservations, gave us directions and advice, and took care of us as if we were family (maybe better depending on your family). The hotel is located in Palermo and is within easy walking distance of great bars, restaurants, clubs, and shopping.

Cristian and Alejandro in the Home bar consistently provided awesome cocktails and were also a lot of fun to hang out with and talk to about the city.

And last but certainly not least were the morning breakfast staff. These ladies were wonderful and kind. They put up with our bad spanish attempts and provided us with great service.

I miss everyone at Home and hope to see you sometime in the future.

My husband and I stayed in HOME this October for a grand total of 7 days. Initially, we were going to stay at Home for 2 days and then move to an apartment. The staff did such a wonderful job of taking care of us, and the atmosphere was so incredible, that we decided to bag the apartment, and instead stayed HOME.

The atmosphere is hip, yet comfortable. There's a lovely back yard (watch out for mosquitos in Springtime in B.A.--but the staff will give you some "Off" if you're going outside). The bar is fantastic (make sure to seek out Christian, who is a wonderful bar tender and all around great guy to chat with).

Rooms are minimalist, yet comfortable. If I had to complain, but I'm not really complaining, the bed could have been a little more comfortable, but everything else is so fantastic, it's a pretty minor point.

A few words about the delicious breakfast you receive daily. Pastries, homemade infused juices, lovely, lovely fruit, specialty spreads and butters...we were in heaven.

The staff is knowledgeable, kind and attentive. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We loved this hotel!

  • Liked — The attentive staff and the modern, hip yet comfortable vibe.
  • Disliked — The location

I stayed at the Home in February 2007 for one night. We were traveling to Futaleufu, Chile to do some hardcore whitewater rafting and had one full day and night in BA. The Home has a great pool and bar and is in the best neighborhood in BA, Palermo. The room was large, clean, and had a great bathroom and TV. The best part of the Home is the great pool. Great restaurants are a short, safe walk and the staff was great. Ignore most guide books. The best part of town to stay in is Palermo.

LOVE this place. Stayed 4 nights at the start of our trip and just can't say enough good things. My husband and I have traveled throughout the world and have NEVER experienced service as outstanding as at Home Hotel. Makes us want to go back to Buenos Aires just to stay there again. Really looked forward to seeing what unusual foods and juice combos they would think of next for breakfasts, and really enjoyed the creative cocktails at happy hour. Gotta try Suck That Orange! Room was great - large, airy, very quiet, very comfy bed (really important for us); bathroom equally large, well lighted, etc. We are in our early 50's and 60's and felt very much at home. Staff went out of their way to be super friendly, helping teach us some Spanish phrases, giving us directions to their favorite empanadas restaurant, etc. And that's just the breakfast staff. Desk staff are all superb and really know their stuff.
