My husband and I spent three weeks touring South America and Antarctica. Buenos Aires was the last stop. Although we were tired, we wanted to see the city, so we searched online and found Jewish Tours Argentina and Salito. So glad we did...Salito woke us up!! Our tour was comprehensive and covered both general information and history as well as the history of the Jews in Buenos Aires. What a fascinating day, filled with humor and a deep understanding of the city in all of its aspects. We highly recommend Salito and Jewish Tours Argentina to show you Buenos Aires.
Thank you for your compliments Sheila.
It was my pleasure and honor to spend the day with you
Please call again an thank you for visiting my city and my country
Shabbat Shalom
We felt honored to be guided through the Jewish community of Buenos Aires by Salito. His personal stories of his grandparents immigration to Argentina from Eastern Europe added an unexpected and moving flavor to our trip! We were glad he was available to show us synagogues on Shabbos and to learn about his personal stories in connection with each one! It was a pleasure and we highly recommend using Salito as your guide of Jewish life in Buenos Aires!
We were treated to private tours with two wonderful tour guides.
We learned a lot and were very impressed by the guides' knowledge.
We very much enjoyed Salito's personal family history...
Just wished we were able to get into more places as many places were closed for holidays or repairs or whatever...
Would have loved to have a short write-up about the main events and places. On another private tour that we took in another country, we were given such information and very much appreciated it.
We tried to write notes every evening; however, it is very difficult to remember so much...
We are home sharing our wonderful memories and recommending your services.
Thank you,
Morrie and Josette
Salito is an excellent and knowledgable guide. We particularly enjoyed going to the AMIA community centre which gave us a feel for both the past and present community in Argentina. The story of the Jewish community is fascinating and Salito tells it with humour and balance. I would thoroughly recommend it.
This was our first visit to South America. We decided to use a tour company for the first time. We visited Chile and Argentina under the auspices of Abercrombie & Kent.
We set aside five days at the end to tour Buenos Aries on our own. Upon a friends recommendation we booked Jewish Tours Argentina for a day tour. We were reluctant to add another organized tour to our itinerary but accepted the recommendation. We are so glad we did. Our day with Salito was the best tour day of the entire trip. He was knowledgable, informed , well spoken and flexible in his approach. As much a teacher as a guide. We learned a great deal and were very moved by what we saw and heard.
We highly recommend Jewish Tours Argentina.
We took this tour at the beginning of a 35-day sweep of Argentina, Chile and Peru. I assumed that the biggest influx of Jews from Eastern Europe to Argentina took place during WW II. How wrong I was! He taught me so much and by doing it with such humor and humanity I can still throw out facts and names when much else of the journey has become a lovely, blurry memory. I highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in history and/or anthropology.
Thank you for your input.
I'm happy you enjoyed our services
