It is a really cool neighbourhood that is worth checking out if you have spare time in Buenos Aires however it is NOT on my "must see" list.

Getting there:

It is very easy to get to just hop onto the Subte (Subway) - Linea D (Green) and get off at Juramento or alternatively a bus - see link (http://www.xcolectivo.com.ar/colectivo/bbelgrano.html).

When you get there:

Shopping - There are quite a few different shops and street stands however I didn't find the shops to be anything special although the prices did seem to be a bit cheaper than Florida.

Sightseeing - Chinatown is worth a see, there is a nice looking late to take photos and the houses in the residential area are very pretty!

Belgrano is a nice neighborhood but it's not as interesting to me as other neighborhoods in the area. It seems more residential somehow with the one exception being "Chinatown."

Worst to visit if you´d like to see a real neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. Besides you´ll find a shopping mall and many coffee stores.

We walked all over Belgrano and perhaps we were in the wrong sections, but there really was not much to see. We did have lunch in a lovely little cafe called Zelmira. They had really tasty lunch specials (I had a lentil dish) and their pastries were wonderful. The waitress asked us what we were doing in Belgrano, because she was surprised that anyone would want to visit there.
