Found this gem of a hotel and loved the comfortable bed. Elevator is hilariously small but service was spectacular. We stayed one night and wish we had found this place sooner. Located in Recoleta just minutes walking to the old cemetery. Taxis are easily found.

Stayed four nights at the Ulises in the Recoleta area and it was simply wonderful. Upon arrival it seemed that the staff were waiting for us to show up and were genuinely happy to see us. I think the location is one of the best for shopping, sightseeing, and dinning. The rooms were large and very nicely appointed and included a very functional kitchenette. By the second day all the staff knew our names and felt like new friends. They were very efficient in setting up sightseeing, dinner recommendations and reservations, and anything else we needed. When I go back to BA I definitely will stay there again. Great value.

Room Tip: All rooms were large and quiet so whatever room they give you should be fine.

I stayed here for 3 nights then returned for another night after my two weeks Brazil trip. Nicely located - not too far from the city and not too near i.e not too quiet and not too busy. Behind the hotel, is where you find the Sunday's flea market (in front of the cemetery) and if you walk a bit further back you'll reach the art musuem and a big park where the Japanese garden is situated.
The tourism information kiosk is on the Guido street in front of the cemetery. A quick way to the city is by buses - there're two(2) bus routes you can take - simply step out of the hotel and either turn left or right as there're bus-stop at Av del Liberator and Av Alvear. You can get a SUBE bus card and load it up with enough credits for your trips. As you step onto the bus, just swipe your SUBE card and you're done. You can get the SUBE card from the small convenient shop on the left as you step out of the hotel. Simply give him 25 peso - 15 peso goes to purchase the card and you're left with 10 peso credit for your bus trips. Each bus trip to the the city is 2.50 peso. You can use this card for metro as well.
Front desk, Mariala is extremely helpful and sweet - she'll organise your tour bookings (estancia, tango tour ,city tour etc) and airport transfer for you.

best deal, high end location for reasonable price. I was in Buenos Aires solo female for the first time and I had a great time. the room was clean and spacious, free wifi and a kitchenette. the staff was very helpful, made all the arrangements for my airport transfers and tours. I walked to nearby restaurants for dinner and felt safe. the only complaint I had was there was no clock in the room and was remedied in a few minutes. this was a great choice and I highly recommend.

Room Tip: some double occupancy rooms have balconies

I stayed here for a night and loved it. So quiet and located in a perfect central spot very quiet and clean. I never heard another person in the hotel and even though the lobby is small, it's very well kept and I loved the room, perfect and simple. Breakfast was simple yet good, the front desk personal could have been warmer but other then that, the perfect stay.

Room Tip: I stayed on the 2nd floor and it was perfect
