Good location, OK WIFI, good value.
there are some great restaurants walking distance, fancy store for shopping if you must. don't mist the chance go walk to the ancient rubber tree across form a legendary Viela restaurant. A pricy night club BLACK up the street. a 25 Pesos taxi ride puts you at AEP and a 170 pesos take you to EZE you at. RadioTaxix are the way to go for an extra $4 Pesos per trip.
The hotel is a Boutique Hotel but runs nice. Elevator are small 2 to 3 persons max. Showers are nice, Not sure if the AC works did not use it.
Cheers

Room Tip: Great location, nice staff, good value, ok wifi.

This hotel was a wonderful, boutique hotel. Located in Recoleta - beautiful area - near the square and cemetery and within walking distance to many of the places we wanted to see. The service was friendly and the staff were always happy to go the extra mile to recommend places to visit and just help out in general. I loved our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Great value for money!

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor to reduce the traffic noise in the morning

The Ulises is across a narrow street from the Alvear Palace, one of the top hotels in the world, by most accounts. Unlike the Palace, the Ulises does not provide a personal butler to dote on all of your needs and unpack/repack your bags. However, unlike the Palace, our room had a small, efficiency kitchen that was perfect for reheating leftovers and preparing light lunches. The Ulises is a small hotel with 4 units per floor. Our room - the deluxe studio - was extremely quiet, well lit, immaculate, functional and roomy/airy enough with 12 foot ceilings. The HVAC worked well. Shower pressure was terrific and the supplied bath products - "Verbena" - and towels were more than adequate. The large flat screen TV received 80 satellite channels.

Breakfast was good enough - the usual teas, coffee, frothy milk, breads, pastries, 3 cold cereals, fresh orange juice, yogurts, fresh fruit cocktail, sliced cheese and ham and the breakfast staff was quite efficient, a necessity given the fairly small size of the breakfast room.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English, a plus for those of us who "no hablo Espanol". They graciously stored our luggage post checkout, arranged for an excellent "remises" to get us back to EZE for a very reasonable 210 peso and even notified me via email within 1 hour of our checking out that I had left my credit card in the room and made prompt arrangements to return it.

So, if you need the butler and his retinue and the TV over the bathtub, the telephones next to the bathtub and toilet, stay across the street. If you want perfectly comfortable accommodations with very hospitable hosts in the best neighborhood in Buenos Aires - about 5 minutes walk to Evita's mausoleum in the Recoleta Cemetery - at 1/3 the cost, or even less after tips to your butler, doorman, porter, concierge, etc., are included, stay at the Ulises. It is much more than adequate accommodations in the perfect location.

Would love to stay there again, close to markets, restaurants, kiosks etc Good breakfasts, and good wi-fi. Desk staff very helpful. Small sandwich grill oven, stovetop, and fridge ideal for small meals. Can be noisy outside at all hours outside so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

This hotel was well located, in a beautiful section of Recoleta, yet within a comfortable walking distance or bus ride from many important points in the city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was wonderful to sleep on such a soft and inviting bed after a long plane ride to Buenos Aires. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. And although the breakfasts were small, which is typical in Argentina, the food was delicious. This was an excellent value for the quality of hotel experience. We would stay at this property gladly again.

We stayed on a family trip at this hotel. I could say it is expensive, but a nice one! It has a small kitchen which is very helpful when we have kids because it is possible to prepare their milk and small meals. Helpful staff, nice breakfast. Breakfast room is small and can be a problem when hotel is full. You have to wait at the reception area for a table! Hotel is close to main streets, so it is easy to move around by public transportation and front desk personnel was extremely helpful!
Would go back there again!

Room Tip: Hotels facing the street are more ventilated than the ones at the back of the hotel. Can be colder o...
