The Alvear Art Hotel is the new little sister of the Alvear Palace in BA and the Llao Llao Resort in San Carlos de Bariloche... Rooms were modern, spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had an amazing shower with overhead rain shower head and separate jetted tub. The toilet and bidet were separate as well, giving privacy if sharing the room . It's in a good central location in the city. We were able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast was included with our room and was very good. Cocktails in the bar/lounge were excellent and the bartender makes an excellent Legui Hesperidina Sour using liqueurs from Argentina (Legui and Hesperidina) I can't say enough about the staff... They were all amazing... Every single person on staff went above and beyond to meet our requests or do what they could to ensure our stay was memorable and enjoyable.

It is close to the Galeries Pacifico, an upscale shopping mall and the Obelisk. We also walked over to the river and the Puerto Madero area which is very nice.

BA has some amazing architecture, however it's a shame there is so much graffiti on buildings and trash in the street...

We have stayed 4 days in this hotel and we loved every minute of it. Really no fault to find. The hotel is modern, new, decorated with very good taste, no bad smells, lovely view, very clean rooms, nice breakfast.
Location is perfect, just one short block from the main avenue, close to the subte and in walking distance to many touristic points. Staff was very curteous and helpful, the breakfast was really tasty, so I cannot find any fault.
I can highly recommend it. Together with the tango classes with Lucia & Gerry and learning to mix drinks and make empanadas at the Argentine Experience, they made our stay in Buenos Aires unfrogettable.

May be highly recommended! Choosy customer has nothing to critize! Warm welcome, rooms very clean and well equipped with all you need! Nice swimming pool and fitness area. Breakfast buffet with all you want! Price-quality ratio best in BA.

The coffee machine in the room is an excellent idea! Two capsules per day instead of per stay would crown this initiative ;-)

We stayed in this hotel before and after a trip to Antarctica. The hotel is new, quiet, spacious, modern and comfortable. There were good blackout curtains which were handy when we needed a daytime sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had room service the first night we arrived and this was a pleasant meal. The hotel is within walking distance to a major shopping complex and we walked to several other attractions and felt quite safe. My husband used the gym facilities and he was happy with them.

The will be a review full of superlatives! The hotel is brand new, very clean, modern and the staff are greatly helpful! Our room was 212: a twin, and was very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. There was a problem with our bill, but they graciously noticed their mistake and put it right. We ate at the bar downstairs (because the restaurant was not open on Sunday) and this was also very impressive. Very nice meal- not too expensive- and yummy pudding. I recommend this hotel strongly to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Also, the room rate is about (in GBP£) £200 cheaper/night than in the Albear Palace! I will review that one and compare after my visit next week.A stay here is wonderful :D

Room Tip: (Only one downside was noisy heating- but I don't think this can be avoided in room choice)

We started our trip to Buenos Aires staying at the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt which was lovely but hosted a large corporate event during our stay which detracted from our experience. We traveled to Mendoza and then ended our trip to Argentina staying at the Alvear Art Hotel. I must say we were impressed with the facility, service and the rooms, especially for the excellent price. The rooms were modern and of a very high standard. The hotel was a very good value compared to the Park Hyatt and we would return to this property in a heartbeat. We highly recommend the Alvear Art Hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this fantastic Hotel for 5 nights from 9 July 2014. The facilities were sensational and I would recommend everyone staying there find the time to enjoy sunrise at the heated indoor pool on the top floor. I have to commend all the staff, from the very attentive doorman, the reception desk, the restaurant staff and the staff who cleaned our room every day (and not just once a day). The staff at reception were able to organise us joining a small english speaking tour that provided a good overview of the key suburbs and also provided a list of recommended restaurants and Tango Shows.

The surprise to me was that their own restaurant was not included on the list. We had dinner there on our second last evening and the meal was absolutely sensational. A grilled selection of seafood, oysters from the daytime menu followed by the Lamb Patagon and a fish curry accompained by an enjoyable sauvignon blanc. I could not stop raving about the lamb dish to friends who were staying elsewhere, so hopefully they have been and experienced what I described to them.

The location was perfect for us and I have to say anyone who is looking for a special time in BA then you must book into this Hotel.

Ron (Canberra, Australia)

Room Tip: We had a premium room on a corner and were on the 10th floor.
