Café san Juan la cantina
On Chile St in San Telmo neighborhood you will find the restaurant opened after Cafe San Juan by a popular chef in Argentina.
It is bigger than the first one and make reservations first: After a wait of more than thirty minutes, we get our table.
Ambience is nice, good music and lighting.
Service is not the best, maybe because the restaurant was full with many people waiting outside.
Menu is mostly pasta. We get the lamb ravioli with mushroom sauce, a meat lasagna and spaghetti with anchovies, capers, black olives and tomato sauce. All main courses was very good and well sized.
As appetizer we get a filled pizza to share which was good too.
The bread is fine, specially the toasted one and Wine list is good.
Anyhow, good place to go on noon, area it is not very safe on night and just once to try.
Go with cash because no credit cards accepted.
